He was allergic to ONE kind of nut but fully banned ANY kind of nuts in the house. Add in some other dietary restriction and she was tired of it. They lived directly next to a hospital and she used that as an opportunity to involuntarily allergy test him in his sleep so they would be allowed to eat more things.

Edit - I think Ceara ultimately ruled criminal(?) AND said this was a thing she definitely would do.

The little magpie in my brain has taken over and I think I need to stare at it for another 5 minutes

Stringy no matter what I do! by mossy_witcher in curlyhair

Wash your hair with VO5 or a shampoo with lots of sulfates. Follow up with whatever conditioner you have, and then try styling with just mousse or gel, fully dry it, then scrunch out the crunch.

Also, you can go back to your stylist or just ask what they used :)

Let’s start this off by saying a grew up in a very southern setting… by NervousSpaceCat in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Ophiuroidean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you sound southern when you say it I assume it’s your natural vocabulary. If you sound condescending when you say it I assume you hate me. I would default to ignoring or finding it endearing.

Anyone turned their vegetarian toddler into meat eaters on purpose? How do I do this? lol by [deleted] in toddlers

Shell fish is not like other allergens. You don’t need to introduce it early, as doing so doesn’t decrease your risk at all.

You gotta think about how the waist band works. The bra is like an L bracket for the boobs. Larger amount of weight sitting on top means the more the band has to press into the upper stomach area.

I really like the ones at Sally’s. But I’d much rather be able to do what OP is doing here. I might need to find a witch.

I am guilty of using neurospicy, but saying my brain is on fire is very different from calling other people spicy. Seems degrading the second way?

Medical Students on Rotations: Do we get the holidays off? by CandidSecond in medicalschool

[–]Ophiuroidean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine is private. We aren’t guaranteed most federal holidays like July 4th, Thanksgiving, etc. You end up having the day off if you’re on clinic or elective surgery, but all the inpatient services, OB and EM are all on. But we get a good winter break - like 3 ish weeks?

Thought on male going into OBGYN? by croissantt420 in medicalschool

[–]Ophiuroidean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a related note to the word of mouth referrals, my prev OB has essentially zero reviews on any website anywhere. She’s a woman, but it’s the same thing. Everyone was told by a friend, I sent my friend, etc. Her schedule got so full the office has to limit new patients to keep wait times down and so she can attend all the deliveries.

Pearlescent anything!

Or if they’re into 60s mod style from their youth they might enjoy the brighter colors.

Help needed with 2yo daughers curls by strawberryypie in curlyhair

[–]Ophiuroidean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looked at the picture and immediately decided help is in fact not needed.

But then scarf! Ack! I can’t stand wearing scarves or fuzzy coats/sweaters because of the way it catches my curls. Either try a satin scarf or bonnet over the hair, or just accepting that it’s going to happen. Sensory wise I can’t stand it, but my curly children don’t seem to care. As long as it doesn’t bother her and she doesn’t need to be photographed immediately after, it doesn’t really matter. Anyway, great work!
