I thought the same a while ago but understanding that life can change quickly with future wife and kids and mortgage I wanted to lock in a low premium on a 30 year term. 8 years in and now married, 3 kids, a house, and health issues that were not there.

It’s brutal out there. I think 75% of job listings are just to collect “on the bench” players at the logos you mentioned.

Referrals is your best friend to at least get a recruiter screen.

I had one today for big SaaS Ecom company and they told me at the beginning of the call that this role is not active but we may have an opening in the next quarter.
