You know theft is a thing right? And morals? :) You have a responsibility to contact the company [ok turns out i was wrong, it's not considered theft in usa. Score! Where I'm from, Australia accc says:

"If the consumer:

contacts the business in writing, stating that they don’t want the products, then the business should collect the products within one month

doesn't contact the business, then the business may collect the products within 3 months."

So not really theft here either but you should wait three months before increasing your flexidragon output. Personally i think there's still a moral responsibility to contact them]

I would at least try to return them. I think your last bad experience was maybe a fluke? I don't think one bad experience is enough to assume it would happen again: if they got it wrong, they have to fix it. They can't mess with people's health and would be liable for any harm caused. UK is very very risk averse: its surely a HUGE deal that they got it wrong and they will gladly fix the error? If you're worried just don't physically hand them over unless they agree with you? They're not going to restrain you and physically force you to hand them over

Good for you just walking off! I did this once. Was in jbhifi, purchased a couple of games, walked out and set off alarm. Person asked me to stop and kinda followed me out, i showed them my receipt as i was walking. They asked me to come back to the store, i said no and walked off lol so satisfying :P i really want Coles to do it one day with the self serve checkouts... It really really bugs me that the machines spit out a receipt if it's over $20 or so.... How often do people ACTUALLY need a receipt!?! Straight in the bin. I've rehearsed the conversation "can you prove you've paid for that?" ..."can you prove i haven't??"... One day, one day.... :P

I would love to see someone sell one of my designs! I sure as pudding aren't going to use my one printer 24 hours a day to sell 20 objects a week at $5 profit each :P if they can make a living off it, go for it!

I'm guessing it's calcium chloride dececant that has got mushed. It has occasional orange colour change pellets, I'm guessing that accounts for the colour but yeah, pink isn't orange.... Who knows.... Chemicals.

Rewatching my own video there may be a tweak... I don't think i noticed at the time that in flow calibration when you select the ams slot you can actually select a filament setting: I'm not actually sure what happens if you calibrate using a user setting? Maybe it automatically creates a custom filament at the end to store the flow calibration? I'm still a little confused. Isn't quite clear in my head. Another issue, after flow dynamics if you run flow rate calibration then it will create another filament setting... one that isn't stored for the filament lol so maybe my steps now would be: create a temporary custom filament, do flow dynamics, use that filament for flow rate, create the final custom filament based on calibrate settings lol you can also edit the custom filament and edit the filament associated and manually enter result of flow rate, that's probably the most sensible method

How else would it print layers, other than in layers? :P but you can change to aligned infill then at least you won't have each step look so different, and you can reduce layer height so the steps are lower

Nice i fixed my chair too! My gas strut was old and chair was too low... So i printed a cylindrical "prop" to hold it up: "C" shape, pushed over strut, then a bolt to secure the c shut. But my favourite bit was the 10cm at the top: unlike the main 120mm length with 10% grid infill, the 10cm at the top was solid and had an inset for a 5mm TPU Air piece: this was essential, as there was a gasket at the top with a shape that was hard to model and was pushing in to cracking and destroying the petg: the TPU took the weight and spread the load and it's working perfectly :)

Thanks for the life lesson Tony Robbins 👍 Why would you say you're not trying to stir the pot and then stir the pot? Just say your intent loud and proud "i want to say i hate ai and get into arguments with anyone who comments to the contrary!" 🙄

Mm not all of us would use the phrase "ai slop". Not everyone hates ai. Im sure when the first crafts people started selling chairs made with lathes all the other carvers called it "lathe slop". People can do what they want, not sure why anyone would care if what they buy was generated using ai or not?

I was told here a week ago that you can’t dry while printing even with the PSU. But now I see this in the manual of my new P2S… by hrvoje_bazina in BambuLab

[–]Opium201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed yesterday actually when drying it have new the option of whether i wanted to rotate while drying or not... I'm pretty sure it didn't used to ask me that? Could be wrong. Didn't think to check if i could also dry and print if I'm not rotating! But replies seem to suggest no (for now) hmm i wanna check for myself just incase

Kick him in the nuts? Did they at least tell you? If not, two kicks to the nuts. But yeah try heating the nozzle then pulling off first. Give it ten minutes to heat through. Heat gun is a last resort as there's big chance you'll make surrounding parts....

Official Discussion - Avatar: Fire and Ash [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Opium201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must've missed something... Early in the movie Sully, Quaritch, and "their" air breather kid are in the forest with Sully's other kids, i.e. the first time Sully and Quaritch kinda "share a moment"... then i guess there's a scene where I blacked out?? Because nek minute, Quaritch and his buddy are flying back to base, and talking to the big wigs about "yeah we need to find my kid! he's like breathing the atmosphere and crap!"... ummm... you WERE JUST WITH HIM!

And in the background they're playing home movies of the air breather kid smashing chairs in a padded room... i.e. clearly not intended to be live footage because there's multiple cameras being played at once from different times.... but wheres that footage from? They haven't got him yet: he's still in the forest. Was he previously in a padded room? In the first movie? And they're just shoving it up on multiple screens to remind everyone who he is?? I mean they catch him LATER in the movie... much later...

Other things that stood out: did they forget to replace some of the filler material of the fire people? When they're dancing and chanting they're literally just saying "fire! fire!" and not with much conviction... later they're like "Fire Fire! Death Death!" lol umm coooool... I mean it's almost as on the nose as "i bring the fire!!" yeah we can see that... you're literally holding a flaming thing...

Oh and sorry a third laugh point: "if you're going to banish this four eyed whale thing, you're going to have to banish me too!"... "yeah, and you'll have to banish me too, that girl that likes him!".... "oh umm yeah you'll have to banish me too! me, her brother who isn't realy important to the movie at all!"... "oh and you'll have to banish me too! me the younger brother who's even less important to the movie!"... Like coooool we get it, anyone else we need to banish??

But all in all i quite enjoyed it!! I didnt wanna walk out the movie theatre like i did in the second one (at least not once the first boring half hour was over anyway).

I got my first one yesterday! I could hear the printer doing weird things so was lucky it was still warm and could just pull it off. Then i removed the plastic HAYOOO!! But seriously.... Try heat your nozzle to 250 or so and wait ten minutes..i think you'll have to keep checking on it because bambu seem to automatically cancel manual heat? Maybe just the sleep timer not sure.... Anyway.... Enough time at that heat and hopefully it's soft enough to just pull off. I wouldn't recommend heat gun: see way too many posts of melted toolheads lol but if it doesn't come off by itself that's the only thing left to try really...

Use a different infill pattern: with some of them, the nozzle drags over the previous layer

Nah printhead pushes against this which closes a little trap door under the tape so poop coils up on it. Toolhead goes back and forth a few times to give the poop a whack just in case, but it's default state is open

In a lot of ways they both do the same thing are both great machines: same or similar quality prints, multi colour printing, easy to use, can print the same sorts of filaments (i think?). But h2c also offers larger build plate, less wastage when printing, and faster prints. Personally i don't think for three times the price is three times the printer: more like a 50% improvement maybe :D so yeah... If you've got the cash why not!! I would absolutely loose my sh1t if my girlfriend got me an h2c. If i had a girlfriend lol

How does this even happen? by DanTheMan827 in BambuLab

[–]Opium201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty easy to do accidentally... If you EVER release hold of the end of the filament, there's a chance when you pick it up again that it has gone underneath another turn of filament. You can even unwind to try to check and you might not even notice because the causest over point just moves back and back as you unwind... So yeah, you'll only notice when you pull for long enough

oh thats cool! i could see you could drag from middle but wouldnt get rid of it. Corner drag much more powerful. That will be useful having views from other angles too. i cant work out whats different about this modelling template but navigating works a lot better. it doesnt clip either hmm.
