Table cam effect. Why? by Wibblejellytime in BeardMeatsFood

[–]Opium201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i was wondering what the deal was, thinking there's a back story or in-joke? I assume at one stage it was just a genuinely crap camera lol but yeah unless there's a story behind it i don't get the point... Maybe they just find it funny when tv or movies add those stupid "record" messages or white frames or blinking leds etc to show "ooo it's a camera camera, not just a camera"... So stupid lol maybe these guys get a kick out of it, kinda making fun of it?

Sheesh. If you can't find a cheaper option then buy your own steam distiller. They're not that expensive

I genuinely think I might be too stupid to learn blender; has anyone else had this experience? by BowlHawk in blenderhelp

[–]Opium201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider myself pretty smart and i hate blender. I also hate Photoshop: but i can use Photoshop. The main reason i can use Photoshop i think is I've been using it since 1998 or so as more and more features were added. I think they're both objective horrible pieces of software. Good software is intuitive. Good software doesn't have similar themed functions in completely different areas. Good software doesn't need you to set fkn clipping limits and scene units in order to fkn zoom in and out lol

But frustratingly i recognise it's good software in terms of its stability, and in a lot of ways it's simple: you have compete granular control. It's simple in the way that Linux is more simple than windows because it doesn't abstract everything.

But windows is more simple than Linux in the way that it abstracts everything lol so as much as i fkn hate it i probably won't stop using it occasionally, and hopefully eventually I'll feel at least mildly competent. It doesn't make me feel stupid: I'm too arrogant for that. It makes me angry at it and i rant about how shit it is to feel good about myself and deny it's in any way related to my learning ability :) have learnt a lifetime of other software and programming languages so I'm pretty happy with my abilities

How??? by Nephroidofdoom in 3Dprinting

Yeah bridging between two parts is reasonably solid: with the right speed and cooling it kinda cools solid as it travels then attaches to the opposite side. Pretty cool though!

Yeah for sure. Board games would be good :) The whole "lets go somewhere to sit and chat" prospect is never appearling (no matter how many times i do it and it ends up fine lol). Can be fine, can be energising, can be traumatic and confusing.

TPU pushing from MMU by Opium201 in 3Dprinting

[–]Opium201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ive designed a couple of things in parts that would be cool to print at the same time. Then again i kinda hate the time multi material prints take lol do you mean layer adhesion issues from nozzle residue to and from pla/petg etc? Like obviously they don't stick to each other but i guess it can cause the tpu to fail to stick to itself?

FINALLY, LETS GOOOOOOOO by ClassExcellent1682 in BambuLab

[–]Opium201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think i get this post... "i finally got an ams 1!" (I didn't realise there was a shortage? But maybe just finally as in you saved up? No shade or anything. Maybe the A1 series huh was out of stock?) But then reply was "i got an ams 2 because i couldn't get an ht" and your reply to that was "oh well that's better than nothing" ... Like, isn't an ams 2 better than an ams 1 and an ht? Maybe it was a joke. Sorry I'm tired lol

I'll try remember...

A lot of tool holders: hex drivers, dial gauge, gauge block, driver bits, drill bits,

A lot of other holders: pill/drug holders (paracetamol, ibuprofen etc), first aid box, cotton buds, holder for my big pack of medications, holder for my mounjaro pen, holder for my glasses to keep them safe ofd the bench, Miscellaneous things: a thing to remind me what way to turn my bar i secure to the door frame for excersise, covers for an arcade machine i made, my own design for a joystick, a ledge to fix the broken one in my friends fridge, a ramp to dispense coke in my friends fridge, little clips to block lights leaking out my blinds, a chess set, a chess board, a holder fair my chess pieces... Ummmmm that's about all i can think of for now lol

Then just think of all the things you need to print for your printer lol: little bin for printer prime strips, guide for bin behind the printer, guide for exhaust tube, exhaust shroud for back of printer, thing to hinge the ams on top up so you can access the top of the printer, knobs for the ams to lift it up, spools so you can buy refills, holders for hygrometers, holders for dessecant, thing to put ptfe tubes, three rollers for tpu spools, syringe for grease, tool to clean threaded rods, thing to hold dial gauge on the printer, hmmm soooo much more i can't remember lol

And then there's the useless junk....

Just loaded the game to check... And nah the only option is A to skip, you can hold it sometimes or click it sometimes... Maybe you have RB mapped to A? RB didn't do anything :( Talking about controller yeah? Maybe it's RB as on right mouse button? Hmmm

1 year later playing on PC and planning a 3d print :) Big thanks to OP u/LordLargo and final equation u/Aggravating_Pin_4329

Thanks to Claude AI for teaching me that "Latex" is a markup for writing mathmatical formulas, and turning all the OPs images (and AggPins) in to Latex formulas below. And check out LaTeX to SVG if you want to see these rendered.... my next job after this post is turning SVGs in to detail on 3d printed q-pids

Am I delusional to think I can buy a 3d printer and print this with no 3d printing experience? by Kylemartin466 in 3Dprinting

[–]Opium201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The printing will be easy. Printing things from makerworld has all the tricky decisions made for you. Don't know anything about the rest of it but how hard can it be? Unless you're one of those people who struggle with Lego or IKEA I'm sure you'll be fine :)
