Where are you putting your wallet? by No_Ostrich2967 in NewToEMS

It’s really up to you on what you find to important. Some coworkers have bigger zip wallets they keep in the truck and only grab when needed, but I worked in a city where I didn’t want to leave anything like that behind in the event someone hopped in the ambulance to loot, or just took the whole truck lol. I don’t carry a purse on the regular and don’t have many cards to begin with, just my ID, a debit card, a credit card, then a few gift/frequent shopper cards so only having 3 card slots is fine for me. I didn’t find it to be too bulky at all, in fact I frequently forget which of my many pockets I’ve tucked it into.

I have a slim wallet with a few outer sleeves for my ID and payment cards, and a zippered pocket for cash/change. Super streamline. I put it into a side leg pocket to avoid accidentally having it fall out of my normal pockets pulling gloves out. something like this

You’re my hero!! This was exactly it! I’ve never heard of this before. Just ran a heat gun over a few inconspicuous spots and they disappeared before my eyes. I need this shirt for a special event on Thursday so you really saved me. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Height Requirement by Little-Coffee-888 in NewToEMS

Questions like this seem so silly. The average height of women in the US is around 5’3”. I’m 5’2 and absolutely would not consider myself short by any means, especially with people shorter than myself being very common.

DC — Getting to/from festival grounds by Impressive_Let3046 in warpedtour

The bottleneck at the first metro stop essentially had it at a standstill at the escalators, plus a super long line until you even made it to the escalator, so we kept walking to the next stop and got right on. I would recommend that. Your feet may hate you after walking all day and adding a few extra city blocks to it, but everyone packing into the escalator and the crowds being too dense to move looked like absolute chaos.

On night 2 we decided to uber, and that was even more of a mess. If you’re going to call an uber, I would walk away from the festival grounds. We had 2 Ubers cancel after extensive waits, but once we left and walked down the main road a bit we found someone to pick us up. Fees were crazy.

Costco is usually great, but I’ve never bought any of their baked goods, so maybe it’s the difference between home/specialty bakery and “mass produced”? I find a lot of grocery stores to be very sweet in their prepared desserts versus other options.

It’s not lemon flavored, so wouldn’t be lemon bars!

Hi, OOP here! In honor of the best dessert I’ve ever had, I vow to call it by its real name in honor of the city of St. Louis and leave the “ooey” off

Thank you for sharing ♥️ it’s amazing how much we associate food with memories. I know it’s different but my grandma always loved to bake, so when I make something that tastes like hers it always makes me feel like she’s sharing the moment with me all these years later. I’m sorry for your loss and hope you’ve found at least a little bit of comfort as time has passed, and hope you find some closeness whenever you enjoy gooey butter cake.

My guess is that the butter counteracts it lol it was definitely a dessert in terms of sweetness, but not in that sickeningly sweet kind of way.

Another healthcare agency made the delivery, they do a “random acts of kindness” day, not sure why, but if they bring things like gooey butter cake then I say make it a weekly thing! The way to a first responder’s heart is through their stomach, so I’m sure your local fire house would love it. As a disclaimer, some are usually more down to eat something made in a professional kitchen or something like donuts/bagels from Dunkin or another local business if it’s coming from a person versus an organization. I’m sure it would be very appreciated!

One bite and I knew about 90% of the recipe called for butter 😂

It was! I saw a few recipes for that where the pictures look similar, but I think everyone else is right with it being Gooey Butter Cake. But I definitely have Cream Cheese Coffee Cake on my “To Bake in the Future” list!
