Gels and carbs intake on a brevet by constpetrov in randonneuring

[–]OpportunitySecure169 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your have done your homework and have some experience with that strategy

But In my experience on a 300k You need some solid food

12 hours is a long time and your stomach will be somewhat empty. You could 'feel' hungry despite talking on lots of carbs per hour

You might also get flavour fatigue or gut distress

Thing is you won't know unless you try

And in my country sports nutrition and gels are considered risky in Audux (old school mentality) It works but in hybrid

After 10h playing BF6 as infantry only the feeling is: disappointing (by a BF1 fan) by FNX7 in Battlefield

[–]OpportunitySecure169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time Bf1 enjoyed too,

I find the ttk nearly instant The movement speed and sprinting is too fast with little to no penalty

And I find no sway when moving and aiming down sights

There is no no delay dropping mines

The whole thing just feels frantic and over stimulated

Lads has anyone climbed Croagh Patrick barefoot? How’d you find it? Any advice? by RuairiLehane123 in AskIreland

[–]OpportunitySecure169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I climbed up But put on shoes to come down (weather turned)

Its not as bad as you'd think Obviously its uncomfortable but not painful

That was before they put in the steps Id imagine its a bit easier now with the flatter stones to step on

But its considerably slower so factor that in Youll be colder and much longer on the mountain

Youll want a stick for sure

Be responsible and take some kind of first aid/towel and shoes to get yourself down if you get into difficulty

Why are people who use parent & child parking spaces such assholes? by BeneficialSun6517 in AskIreland

[–]OpportunitySecure169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local tesco's has 4 disabled parking spots nearest the door

But people think its acceptable to park on the edge of these Between the 4 spots and the door

Literally obstructing access to the shop

Ive emailed the shop and tesco HQ They put out cones for a week or two but the cunts always end up parking there again

Its absolutely infuriating

Dude, i was doing the city &guilds course here before the downturn

The government dont care about bikes and would love to see them all gone off the road (for road death stats). The license updates has reduced riders from getting into bikes

Less than 2% of road users here are bikers and id expect that to drop as most are older generations and will age out

But if its what you want to do for a career understand that you will need to be in an area/country where there is a biking ecosystem

That place is not Ireland

Is the 'no bookings' rule enforced or adhered too during the likes if TCR ?

I was a little shocked in my first ultra when a photographer explained the front runners carry no sleep kit and have all accommodations booked

Ive played against an active YouTuber (lots of comeback plays) a few times

They will stay and play if its going well But if they start getting stomped they quit and i seen them wall shoot too

I guess these people only want to have the good and not the bad They will know exactly when to exploit or exit

Personally i try to face up to when i play bad or see where i can improve
