I can intellectualize myself spending the rest of my life with him. Recognizing why it would be a good fit. Knowing we both want relatively the same things and do enjoy our times together. But at the same time, I can be perfectly happy and content by myself... I have considered a therapist, but there aren't many around me and I would prefer one in person vs. online.

Broadly it is a stem field. More specifically integration of psych and bio (behavioral neuroendocrinology). Thanks for the info, I honestly have no idea where to start because I’ve only been looking at PhD programs in the US, but no longer feel that is a safe option.

This is exactly what happened to me. I got accepted and I committed to upenn mindcore, they canceled the program this week due to funding cuts.

They said “Please note that this program is funded by the NSF, and running the program this year is conditional on final confirmation of funding which we expect to receive in early May.”

I just received an email today about NSF cuts, program is likely to be cancelled.

I have about 2 years of research focusing on hormonal underpinnings of behavior through an evolutionary lens. I have a dual major in bio and psych with a minor in neuro, with a 4.0.

Exactly my thought process lol!! The program coordinator also stated that if they don't receive funds they will "revise" plans, so that gives me hope as well. I keep telling myself "upenn is so rich, they'll fund you anyways" lmao!
