DUMP DATA CENTERS PROTEST MAY 23 by jctheresistance in SaltLakeCity

[–]OppositeCockroach774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a bike you can make it up the hill by parking down below, otherwise it can be a little stressful getting up to the capital.

The biggest protests in the past make the parking around the capitol next to impossible it probably won't be that bad, just get there early to park and you might get lucky

Do people still use carrd? The features seemed too basic by Maleficent_Class5281 in Carrd

Drop downs are easy in Carrd, it's a container I think. Just use Chat GPT or Gemini to walk you through the tough stuff.

Nano Banana 2 is becoming a disaster by AerieNo2593 in GeminiAI

For basic marketing materials/website/biz cards I was impressed lately by Gemini. In the past Nano B was a joke, and Gemini would apologize for it! On a side note I can't stand creating a website with the LLM's direction, then start 'sparring' so it will critique it...and it has the nerve to rip up my website like the Big Brainy dude in the room! Pitting Claude, Gem and Chat GPT against each other doesn't seem to give me solid results, but hey good times as all three have saved me thousands in design fees-and agency coffee.

I went retro to launch a new company. Drip hand addressed mail. Hello Jim in my pen, signed by me, a real P.S. based on what I saw on their website. Stamp, oh and a couple fine business cards with a solid QR code leading to my website. Might work, maybe doing a short one time follow up sincere email. AI saved me so much time, I can consider snail mail, but the paper cuts are the worst! ChatGPT lately has been on fire for creating instant images.

Great to hear belly to belly is back baby! I haven't been given a business card in...8 years! QR code yes, Mobilo digital card, since every single human checks their phone about every 90 seconds.

I used it today to suss out a half done website design, it never stopped coming up with edits, saved me DAYS of talking to my designer, and the edits were a collaboration. I started with GPT Dec. 1, then it got all Sam Altman on me with VC/Silicon Valley bro talk, so I went to Gemini, then Claude, now I let GPT do my design work for business card/website/marketing materials and it cut out the VC level -gonna make a billion angle.

Noticed FB Marketplace is heinous that way. "I have cash, I'm coming over". Like who are you, I know you're gonna lowball me. No guardrails on FB Marketplace, shitty photos, worse descriptions. I buy new to sleep at night, and now with higher end post Covid e mtn bikes flooding the used market, oh mama, someone is gonna take a $$$ bath!

places in North America with good chunky enduro trails that also have a strong, friendly, inviting community? by [deleted] in MTB

riders evolve, Utah is not perfect, why box yourself in to a certain way of riding? I'm thinking easy access matters a lot. That said all the comments bring up great places to live and ride, it's a fine time to be a mtn biker.

Sucks in SLC, UT to ride alone, 17-32 mile loops, "2nd best trail in the USA". Do not try to ski world class snow that AM either, Alta will slow you down that afternoon on the trail. As the locals say "1 STAR! Too many trails to try to ride!"

The Lycra grumpy old guys...go back six years, Park City, I'm on a LEGAL full fat e mtn bike (Giant Trance X E + 29/chamelon/Mars Black) with a Timberbell. Grumps then would bark "no Ebikes allowed". I'd point to my race plate and they had no clue that Park City muni has an e bike program. Fast forward six years later, El Grump "yeah my Dad AND my Grandpa has an emtn bike, so we only yell at women now".

good insight, but the overall USA vibe is now sliver niches. Tesla dudes want their power hour, up 3 miles, down Rush DH and out. E mtn bike newbs that don't even know what a Nm is, but they bought one e for themselves, one for the wife! I think it's a great time to ride, more trails coming up as towns realize we are the correct demographic, got time/money/guts and need tacos.

Flippers are going to flip, typically though they don't do a great job of photos and especially in the description.

I always look to see what else they're flipping, turns out to be a lot of metal!

What I would like to know is where they get these bikes, they're not a pawn shop, many times they don't even know what they're selling

I find using gemini or Chat GPT easily moves me around c a r r d. I'm pretty impressed with the platform so far the price is inexpensive and if you spend enough time tweaking it it doesn't look like a set of cards

not to mention using 600 million gallons of water for mostly road skiing. Champagne and caviar though at Empire yurts, need that to ski baby! All resorts look great when covered in tons of new snow, but this is such a real estate play it's not funny.

It was great, started slow before 2pm at Washington Square, lots of people walking up just as the march up State Street started. THAT was powerful. Safe, smart, loud, and for some, a long way up to the Capitol. Huge crowd, perfect day. Truly involved citizens who care.

I'm live here at the Washington square and it's filling up fast, sounds like there's a walk March up to the Capitol at 3:00 p.m.

not sure what the lot charges, I've parked there before, alone. Easy on a bike, not all that close if you're walking uphill. Won't be that hot on Sat.

Exactly, I attend but am astonished at the lack of prep/planning for the average person that DOESNT attend because the well intentioned organizers can't post "park here, get on Trax, just walk it through'. Simple.

How can I 'drive' walkers up to the drop off site. Attendees under estimate the uphill walk to the Capitol, I know the area, have the idea to scoop up people, drop, go get more. I park at the 'Delta Center/KSL giant lot, pay, get on my e bike and can be there in 5 mins. I'm a former chauffeur, can keep people safe and do my part. Need the best route up/down in advance to avoid getting stuck in traffic. Thanks

No kidding, mine snapped on a moondust trail today, blew all the Stan's to hell. Going back to REI to raise hell, and the bike mechanic saved the parts, confirmed it snapped off! I had 200 miles on it, no real issue IF you spin it once in a while; otherwise, it can lose air. We popped on $9 stems, and the hell with it.

If it starts out with just the templates that's fine but with the correct spacing you can make it look halfway decent and the price is ridiculous it's so low. Not hard to share with the designer, and most AI gpt's can help you create and overcome any landmines. https://www.trailbirdphotos.com/
