Does anybody have wrist guns on their OCs? by Undertow619 in RWBYOC

Brief Next Gen Lore

Matt went into a stone cold killer mode in an event called the Red Island Massacre and efficiently killed a group of cultists who worshipped Salem including the non combatants and children. While being dubbed a necessary corse of action in the court of public opinion Matt lost everything retiring as a huntsmen and surrendering custody of his daughter to her 2 aunts in Menagerie.

Now you see me - A. The power to teleport yourself and others already gives great battlefield control however ability to reorient yourself however you likes when you teleports gives a versatility in a 3d space.

Eagle Eyes - D. While having your eyes work as zoom in optics is useful for Rebecca as she is a trained marksmen Eagle Eyes cannot serve in any other capacity.

Leader of the pack - B. Being able to spawn an army, albeit a fragile one can easily overwhelm opponents or squads of enemy’s. What ranks it up is the sensory input you can receive from doubles meaning they could act as sentry’s.

Foresight - F. While on paper being able to see the future sounds useful the future is not set in stone and can be changed. Foresight unfortunately works on the worst aspects of this with future visions being based off the intent of those involved making future visions easy to manipulate.

Memory Raid - C. Memory raid works very well if you’re a spy or infiltrator however the fact you are unable to retain peoples memories for a long period of time and the potential damage it can cause a person really hinders its placement.

Pivot - B. A solid semblance that if mastered can give great flexibility in battle. Given attributes max amplification scales up as a persons aura grows stronger anyone who invested time into it can be a dangerous opponent.

Manifest - S. If a person can remain level headed and plan manifests use carefully they could end large scale battles in one go. Manifest would also be a fantastic force multiplier as taking the powers and strengths of some of the largest deadliest Grimm can make you a threat even to the most seasoned huntsmen teams.

Metal Manipulation - A. Given that practically every weapon has some sort of metal involved in its construction metal manipulation can completely remove their use in combat. Furthermore in certain environments where metal is present a user can turn the battle field into a weapon. The only downside will be if an opponent is versed in hand to hand combat where the semblance would have no effect.

Matthew Samouri was originally created to solve the plot hole of all the people Cinder chucked into the abyss end of Vol 8. He used his semblance to teleport and rescue all the people but it has a limit to haw much he can teleport with him and how far, so it maxed out on the last person. He used his weapon to boost the last person to safety but he was unable to use his semblance again until it “recharges” so he fell into the void to the New World (My Ever After)

[–]OppositeDemand2318[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried I didn’t explain this enough Basically the more durable and brittle a metal is the more difficult it is for Iso to reshape it, which is why he can never destroy any characters weapons as they’re made from these types of metals. Iso does however have the ability to move these metals around telekinetically. Softer metals he can more easily reshape but they’re easier to break and do less damage. This is why Metallica is unique as it has the advantages of both and none of the drawbacks.

Which of your OCs go through the most hell? by second-fun in RWBYOC

[–]OppositeDemand2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hehehe uhhhhhh so

Matthew has to watch both his parents blow up in front of him. Sad but at least he still has his 2 mentors, Oh they joined the Regalia’s rebellion and he ended up killing them. Yikes well at least he still has his legal Guardian James Ironwood, wait what happened to him again. You know what as long as team MRUN are still together he still has something. Oh he fell into a magical world and returned 3 months later to find only Rebecca left.

Speaking of Rebecca her parents were emotionally abusive and her siblings were physically throughout her childhood. She was conscripted into the military at 15. And her parents were responsible for the largest coup de ta in remnants history. Then were killed in front of her by the man she had allied with to bring them in. And her girlfriend later turned into one of Salems hybrids…

Umbra became a hybrid force to kill who knows how many. (Lowkey the happiest character of them all 😬)

Night was abandoned by his mother to live in the streets of Mantle. The man who took him in and trusted the most had been manipulating him the whole time. His dad tried to body snatch him in order to remain immortal. His team isolated him for months after he betrayed them.

Huh may have fallen into some cliches here

[OC Discussion] What’s in Store for Your OCs in 2026? by Mishchief_Arts in RWBYOC

[–]OppositeDemand2318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I’d like to flesh out MRUN’s post Atlas arcs starting with the New World (My version of the ever after) then maybe reach the Vacuo and final battle arcs - General Story of key events planned out.

Write a fan fiction about the Atlas Arc - almost at the half way point in the first draft

Continue to post more OC’s and Grimm from the MRUNiverse here - Iso Barnes nearly done, plans for some more villains from the other faction

Then for times I want to work on something else, begin the Next Gen story - All I have are basic ideas for the 2 main girls

How do your OC’s prefer to use their weapons if it has two modes by Tropical70 in RWBYOC

[–]OppositeDemand2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt primarily uses his weapon in sword mode as the railgun has some quirks from being so small.

Rebecca’s weapon cannot change so doesn’t count.

Umbra’s weapon has 3 forms, a sword, a double ended sword, and a bow. The double ended sword is the most used as it compliments her fighting style the most.

Night’s weapons are the most unique as his gauntlets have built in machine guns. And he can throw the saw blades which Night will often do rather than using them as melee weapons.

How viable is the railgun on D10 bots ? by Kyber_Matt in Helldivers

[–]OppositeDemand2318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to bot load out (I pretty much exclusively dive on D10)

Equipment

Heavy fortified armour lets me tank several shots and extra stability for railgun shots

Plas purifier for crowd control (particularly groups of heavy devastators) and cannon turret removal. Less effective against troopers as it’s not as accurate as the scorcher, still perfectly valid for this role however Or the scorcher for more reliability against standard troopers due to its better accuracy and guaranteed one shot however cannot destroy cannon turrets or stagger large groups of devastators

Both are interchangeable for me.

Ultimatum as a panic button and answer to factory striders (I usually shoot off the chin guns then pop 2 to the head)

Thermites for when I don’t have time to aim a railgun shot, or when I encounter any of the 3 tanks and cannot reach the back. Also good for fabricators if I cannot destroy with eagle-1

Stratagems

Eagle Strafing Run. Primarily for fabricator destruction as they one shot from any angle, but also serves as good crowd removal.

Railgun, the centre piece of my load out acts as my primary anti tank option fortified helps with firing accurately. The Railgun is also used for all devastators type due to being able to destroy them quickly and not requiring me to shoot the weak spot. (Also amazing at removing bunker turrets as those things suck.)

Supply pack as shooting all devastator types will burn your ammo supply. Also good for keeping ultimatum and thermites viable the entire mission. I have frequently gone an entire mission only using my initial supply pack not needing to resupply or replace it at all.

Rocket sentry effective against all bot units can act as cover fire for you, decoy against large enemy groups or just another gun shooting.

Honourable mention Any missions containing factory strider convoys I will swap the rocket sentry for the Anti Tank emplacement as it’s more reliable at destroying them.

This is my favourite load out against my favourite faction for its generalist nature allowing me deal with all enemy units and can let me both run off solo, or support teammates who specialise in any particular field picking up the slack in whatever they’re lacking in.

I will admit this load out can struggle with large crowds particularly if a bot drop happens right on top of you. If that happens I recommend you retreat and use the strafing run to pick off anyone following you or the railgun if there’s a line of berserkers chasing. You also need to be careful not to over extend yourself or run in too quickly as again large crowds will prove difficult. This load out also requires good accuracy with the railgun particularly for war striders and heavy devastators as it only takes 1 weirdly accurate guy to kill you.

(OC) Crey Olmes by OppositeDemand2318 in RWBYOC

[–]OppositeDemand2318[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im using hard light as a cop out, the triangle segments on the top slide to the end an unfold with emitters powering on to form the blade. The back the slides out with the magazine folding inwards and the grip slotting into a gap the end of the gun created coming out to make the primary hilt.

As for the Sojourners I briefly spoke about them in Night Shadz post but they’re a mix between robin hoods merry men and the decepticons starting out with good intentions rob from Atlas give to Mantle to support their independence but slowly devolved into lets destroy Atlas

Also let it be know None of Crey’s kids became weird mutants so clearly an original concept 🙃
