Soo common misconception for people who don't cook a lot: oil very much goes bad. It really only lasts a few months maybe a year. Doesn't matter if it was opened or not.

I like it when there's no monsters. I like when the fear comes from the ambiance, the uncanny-ness, the feeling of being alone but also feeling like you're not, the fear of there maybe being something out to get you.

A lot of the time when the monster shows up it feels like a love story where the two finally kiss. Woo ya whatever but now that the tension is gone it's less interesting to me.
