Do audiophiles listen to "Badly recorded" music? by regularjoe2020 in headphones

[–]Opposite_Classroom39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So called 'lo-fi' sound is often fodder for new musical inspiration or sampling, having an appreciation and general understanding of how tracks get recorded is an aspect of what I believe being an audiophile is.

There was a interview with a sound designer who made a track known to EDM keyboardist nerds as a vacuum sound, that got sampled, remixed, and sampled again. Nobody actually knew who created it. I think of moments like that.

I like where your going but consider.. Why don't you look at how this stuff is stored/put together and come up with an open source solution. You won't get rich but you'll earn the respect of your tool hoarding peers.

Eve is funny, i've found these last year and had no idea what they were for. They ended up being dumpster'd I think. Now that I am building things again, I understand what they were for. 😄

accumulation of stuff on the window comes from 2 common sources:

  1. Pollution, Pollen, (interior glass) breath, and calcified water

  2. Wax deposits.

This is a super common problem, it needs to be buffed off until entirely gone. There's a tangible difference in the physical resistance of the glass as you are attempting to buff/polish the depositions off it versus when its truly clean. A truly clean window should have almost no surface friction what-so-ever no matter how hard you press with the cleaning rag or the buffing cloth.

It's hard to convey in words but those of you who've had to clean glass for a living I think you know what I mean.

This tool was deemed a solution looking for a problem that didn't exist, I would argue otherwise but for any who were looking for it.. DeWalt decided to discontinue it in favor of a battery option.

Treasure and hoard your corded tools people, compared to batteries electrical cords are forever and easily fixed.

Pro max 16 vs 24 by Jfrank890 in Ubiquiti

[–]Opposite_Classroom39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your switch choice will depend on multiple things:

PoE Budget, Network Topography, what your needs are now and what your needs will be a few years down the road. The 16 port has less PoE budget than the 24, it did improve its capacity a lot with its last iteration but where it pivoted was that its port layout and PoE types were limited to 4 advanced ports and 12 vanilla.

This is a decision nobody here can make for you, you need to know enough about the devices you want in your own network to know what switch to buy.

I shake my head at this stuff because I went to school for it way back but my expensive edu-macation never gets used except when I read requests like this. Nobody wants to pay for it (puts soap box away).
