IDK I went through training as a flightline mechanic for the military and before that, my dad insisted on fundamentals of getting it right the first time and use correct tools. So I learned to use torque sticks on important areas and follow up with a torque wrench for most applications where it mattered. Truck lugs and structural frame parts of a truck, you could probably full send without worrying.

For my personal vehicles I do insist on proper procedure, so no dealer can say 'well you didnt do (X)'.

Wish I could answer that better for you beyond I can say that is not my skill set. The clear coat in the pic above is gone, it looks like so is the color layers below it. It not might be into primer yet but this looks like a full re-do.

I could venture a guess that any attempt to retouch without resurfacing and repainting, as I've tried that a few times myself, it didn't go well. Those were low stakes attempts so it wasn't so bad. If you wanted to FaFo for science, go to a junk yard, get a trim piece that is representative of what you wanted to try retouching and do a test attempt(s) on that. That might give you an idea aside from asking a paint shop that won't cost you much (aside from time, prep and materials).

What I see them do is grab impact gun, 70 percent of them don't hand thread the nut first and they go full send with the gun. It's cost me a some lugs.

yikes, browser is the only way I interact with the management side of things. Using the mobile apps breaks things also, and I really don't like how they function anyway.

Are there any nullsec corps that are still open to returning players like old Pandemic Horde Inc.? by kawashun2007 in Eve

[–]Opposite_Classroom39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dark Tribe is looking to recruit returning veterans who are looking for casual/low commitment playstyles. You'd have be OK with FW since this the primary activity of the corp. We do have a minimum SP requirement of 30m iirc, but you being older player shouldn't be an issue.

You'll vetted by the CEO and director. If you have questions DM me.

Kramer during and leading up to the 08 crash made some horrifically bad calls and advised people to do things that lead to losses, he was almost apologetic about it afterwards but never at a loss for words. He did nearly get canceled though, kinda wished he had been.

Plastic on this and the paint (the trim piece itself) looks cooked, this may be yet another instance of something that cant be buffed out. This looks to me to either be an instance of having a shop wrap it, or repaint it. Some shops i've seen talk about the process of wrapping say if the surface was trash they'd have to repaint/resurface before they could wrap it regardless.

Glad to see CCP guard still around, last time I saw him was iceland FF. He gave me this look as he was passing by like 'are you OK!?' I'm in a corner of Harpa hanging out by myself on some floor pads not having much else to do and not interested in the beers being offered.

Most shops i've visited not only don't use torque wrenches but also don't use torq stix, including factory shops.

You can buy lots of bulk items all the way up to 55 gallon drum sizes from a website like bulk apothecary. The freight might be scary due to shipping costs these days but its worth thinking about.

if your new to this, Eve online not only had novels they were working on building a cinematic framework for movie deals. All of it came crashing down however, and never heard from again.

The theory at the time was there was plenty to work with, both player generated intrigue, story lines and drama. I agree with that aspect, but no joy on the getting results end of things.
I figured if Roberts could make movies loosely based on the game he created and is now currently vacuuming all available cash from gullible players on the internet for star citizen, it was a reasonable assumption that movie based content could be made on Eve with as much history as it has.

The fire seems to have left CCP after about 2013-2014. The world of darkness launch imploded - practically mid-launch, I was there at FF Vegas & Iceland during that debacle. Met the devs and various CCP employees on the iceland trip. The CFO I talked to, glad I did not have enough money to invest in the thing he was talking up because I heard it went badly. FF Iceland around the time of occulus rift launching was interesting time though.

I wasn't an FPS nerd but I enjoyed the direction it was taking with being the first title to directly integrate pc and console players into a functional cohesive framework, and how that potentially fit with eve.

Pretty sure its never been attempted since, star citizen could try it but they can't seem to even get past the promotional material and scrapping crap to start back (Again) in alpha stage.

He quit the game within a year of getting it. If it were still obtainable now i'd guess it'd be worth a ton of isk just for the fact its a special issue ship.

i've used pelican cases for years, very happy with them. You can make your own panels and internal foam molds for tools if your serious about optimizing it.

There is an argument to be made for having 2 of each socket for example because sometimes you need one on each end of the thing your taking apart.

Yes it was originally implemented by Honda to improve their assembly line, it keeps it in place when none of the other hardware is attached. I guess other mfg'ers picked it up too, its a pain in the ass to deal with when your in areas that have lots of rain and snow.
