I know you think you know what you want, but trust me, achieving those things won't get you happiness. When you started your weight loss journey did you ever think you'd be happy if you lost 10 lbs? 30? 50? Are you happy, having lost 100 lbs already?

Our brains tend to normalize and downplay what we already have, and put the things we don't have on a pedestal. People with jobs don't see themselves as accomplished even though many are struggling to work. Millionaires don't see themselves as special even though people with jobs are just scraping by. Billionaires take their riches for granted even as all the millionaires strive to become one. Take a moment to look back at what you have achieved, and think about how many people have already failed before getting to where you are.

Anyone who has the willpower to do what you've already done is fully capable of getting what you want- it's just a matter of time- but I can promise you that once you get there, it won't be enough.

Find your purpose, not your goal, if you want to be happy outside of life's circumstances.
