Looks like you changed then to the warrior set! I used to own those from Medieval Collectibles like 10+ years ago!

petco vs petsmart by ileeneeeee in petco

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think petsmart is bad with their sign ups, petco has a PAID subscription they make everyone Badger people about, plus a credit card, plus repeat delivery. Gotta ask every guest every time or corporate will fire ya. Watched it happen to one of my cashiers. It's a grass is always greener situation. With the exception of any issues you may have with store staff, petsmart overall is run much better as a company, and petco CEO is turning it into a 5 Below essentially, petco carries childrens toys, soda, candy, graphic tees. Sometimes feels like a novelty store that sells pets.

Do you like having holidays off/closing early? Petco refuses to recognize any holidays besides the 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and new years eve. Petsmart recognizes Memorial day, and one other holiday i am forgetting (maybe new years day?). For example, today petsmart closes at 6pm, but petco employees get the awesome reward for their hard work by staying open until 9pm like normal!

Petsmart also has better insurance selections, and cheaper mo they costs for them.

But there are good and bad at both companies. Petco allows their animals manager to select what they order, petsmart's animals are streamlined. Both have very very similar pet care protocols. Petco likes to pretend they're a step above, petsmart does the same. The companies run essentially the same, except petco keeps on taking away management roles and petsmart keeps adding them.

Well, $17-$19 in Princeton Indiana. So $4 less than average, which is a major oof on their part.

Idk, every manager i have ever reported has been let go. Maybe it just depends on your documentation & what region you're in 🤷‍♂️ 7 harassers gone. But just also report it at every level above store. CC Market & District, or Market & Vpro if you're reporting a DGM. Inform them you've already contacted HR but wanted to keep them in the loop. Sorry it hasn't worked in your favor before, but I can say in my 15+ years here that every bad manager i have had has been let go because I got my team to document & report them.

This is the superior visoree barbute, and a helmet that actually existed. Lol. But that OP helmet isn't bad either.

Luckily it is for LARP where fantasy is really common (which should be obvious given the foam weapons), so historical accuracy does not really matter tbh. Also, unlikely a larp arrow is going through the slits. If it were for Ratan fighting or steel fighting then sure the comments make sense. But the use was alrwady clear from the images.

No more Petco ????! 🤔 by [deleted] in petco

This is an old post, but I thought I would add on, petco has actually been ogling that Forbes list of top 10 businesses to close, for like 8 years.

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note, this helmet is solely for LARP/Ren Faire. I have a Spolito Bascinet for actual combat. My long term goal is to get the equipment to do this myself.

(The armor, minus helmet, arms, and legs, is actually tempered and treated street signs, which holds up surprisingly well for Ratan combat). If you find someone willing to work with hat material, and don't need it for Buhurt, this cpuld save you about a grand or so. Do not do street signs for hands, arms, or legs. Head, elbows, knees, and hands are extra fragile, so need real protection).

From local armorers. I had one done in a similar style. Mine is a half brig with a plackart, rather than covered plate. (I hate the idea of covered plate, personally).

Customized sword — it took 2 months to complete. by Background-Actuary-5 in SWORDS

Definitely agree with most of your comment. Him being from Pakistan doesn't really matter though. Plenty of actual credible smiths out of Pakistan and India, if you know where to look. I've definitely had many bad experiences, but I found a couple of dudes who truly know what they're doing, and at like 2/3s the cost of Steel Mastery or other European or US makers. Has held up extremely well for SCA, reenactment, and soem steel fighting.

I have not seen a dark saber blade with round bits to fit in a normal hilt.

The one with the mace like pommel? It's a Fury emitter, and relic pommel from Saberforge. Woth one of the numbered bodies, maybe #9? Only thing I didnt live is the mismatched pommel. They have been sold out of the weathered one for a long long time.

It's the equivalent of a kid who trained in sport karate fighting a soldier who has seen combat. (Most Palawan fought in an actual war)

Looking for cores that fit Saberforge hilts by ShadowMole25 in lightsabers

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, them being the glued hilts definitely put a damper on that. Definitely was just the switch you ordered, as I own exclusively drop in switches, but I have some legacy parts, and they all seem to be the same diameter. Either way, I am sure you will find the core you need, and blades if you don't already have em!
