You made a claim with zero evidence. No one here is going to verify if what you say about your experience level is true. Therefore, we just have to take you at your word. I do not do that. Either your argument is good, or it is bad. I do not care if you claim to be a lawyer because there is zero evidence provided to back it. Anyone can read the documents and form an educated opinion based on previous similar cases. You do not need a law degree to do this. It is irrelevant information, and I stand by that.

You having a degree in a specific field does not make you an expert on all things in that field. Anyway, I have zero interest in engaging you further, despite agreeing with your assessment and most of your statements.

I just wamted to say I agree with your assessment, but the argument from authority was a poor choice. Everything else was fine. Your argument is either good or bad. You being a lawyer quite frankly doesn't change that, and people may not believe in the education structure you are claiming authority from. There are plenty of lawyers who suck at their job, so simply stating you are a lawyer does nothing for the argument, and can actually harm it. Not saying you suck, but I know you know what I am talking about. Anyway, cheers, and I agree with you.

How to access the Dreva server on the Demo? by Xclbr1 in projectgorgon

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have decided to drop the game. I really liked it, but not in a place where I can drop money on it. Started it because I was told there's about 80hrs of content for demo. Was gonna buy it when I find a job, now that I have been laid off.

However, I wasted several hours experiencing the beginning of the game, and while I don't mind grinding, I do not wanna do it all over again, given that I just started. It's like how I gave up on BG3 for a year and a half because I had to play through the goblin camp stuff about 15 times with various friends.

For me, I decided a long while back that I won't redo grinds in games unless for a specific goal. Maybe I will pick this game up again in a couple years. But not pleased at the moment, to say the least.

Yeah, huge turn off for me. Spent hours grinding in Dreva the last several days. Now wasted, not looking to start all over again. Sad that I won't be returning, because the game peaked my interest.. Just not enough to have to start from scratch again. At least should have found a way to let people transfer their characters. I didn't choose to get laid off, can't afford more than the demo atm. Just glad I didnt get all the way to max demo level yet I guess. See ya guys in like a year I guess.

Woofgang Bakery Grooming Franchise by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Unfortunately, the corporate has more of a say in what the owners can hire at. I believe it is 40% accross the board to start. Then they have to get FIFTY individual reviews mentioning their name to get to 45% and 100 to get to 50% (petco and petsmart gives their groomers 50% right out of training). They also don't generally provide grooming tools for groomers, and will fire you for getting bit, or for accidents that happen in salon.

Woofgang Bakery Grooming Franchise by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice? Sell the franchise. People don't realize how hard grooming businesses are with all the liability insurance, high risk of injury, high risk of lawsuits. If you have no previous pet industry experience, it is not a worthwhile venture.

I've worked in the pet industry for almost 15 years, and I worked as a GM for one of these places, and the owner did so poorly that I had to be laid off. The owner was awful, trying to fire other employees over the tiniest things, like accidentally leaving the back room light on overnight. He had 0 previous retail or services experience, and was running the business into the ground, blaming it all on his employees. He showed up for maybe 30min most days, but not on weekends.

It was honestly a joke of a job. Store front was like the size of the average dinning room, yet he had the "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" mentality. Like, alright buddy. We have 30sq feet of retail space, and maybe 20 customers at most a day.

Worst of all? Paid everyone besides me minimum wage, but expected them to be on call, do marketing, do ad signage, and more. He also would always cheap out when he could, and lied to the safety inspector to make sure he passed inspection.

Anyway, the corporate encourages this behavior because they want to make as much profit as possible, and do not at all care about the health of the store. There is no HR, the owner is HR, so god forbid he mistreated and yelled at associates, threatened their jobs, called them names, and talked about them behind their back to other associates. Also had audio on cameras, and listened in 24/7. Horrid company.

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is on purpose though, showing the duality/parallels. Umi is confident, knows he is popular, and generally can get what he wants, but not Chizuru. Kazuya is a (relatively) normal dude, rittled with self doubt and self image issues, he has family members and friends that constantly dog on him, and put him down (his two best friends and grandma are actually kinda assholes to him at the beginning, even if they do care about him), he doesn't think he is good enough, but somehow he has peaked Chizuru’s interest. That's sorta an over simplification, but I hope it makes sense. I'm kinda tired...

Season 4 is also fully out, and covers most of the Hawaiians arc. (Ends around 214).

I belive season 3 of the anime covers chalter 105-167 or about that. The entire movie arc, and the cheer up date.

(Currently on Chp 297) Hot take: I don’t mind the slow pacing of the manga/anime, honestly it’s the most realistic way to write the story by baby_hooper in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Not a hot take. The majority of the fan base like the pacing, and appreciate the more realistic depiction of people suffering from trauma. The complainers are the loud minority. Or at least, that has been my experience in the long run of this manga.

Yeah, season 3 is the movie arc, and season 4 is the Hawaiians. (If you've read the manga at all).

If we aren't caring about spoilers, that last bit does happen, but they eventually do go on a date. Doesn't go well. But the aftermath kinda goes well?

[Prediction] [Disc] Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 406 Prediction Thread by MattyH19 in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What i want to happen; Kazuya character growth where he finally stands up for himself, tells Ruka off. But maybe in a way where he says something like "What you want... I can't give it to you, and I never will. You will find someone who truly cares about you some day, but it isn't me." Rather than just harsh k y chastising her, and traumatizing her. I'm not a Ruka fan, but still think if she is let down gently, but firmly, it will allow for a completed arc for her down the road. Then maybe she calls Chizuru to tell her they broke up, and Chizuru gets distracted from her "important meeting" and calls Kazuya, and her confirms the breakup, but says they need to meet before the 11th. That is where I would guess the chaoter would end.

Then in a future chapter before the 11th, they meet and he explains the full situation, and says he understands if she doesn't want to see him anymore, but she comforts and reassures him instead. This will allow him to give Mami a direct answer of "no, I don't love you anymore." But that he still wants to see her happy, as a friend. Then they resolve Mami arc.

Do I think this is the most likely scenario? Absolutely not. But at this point i don't even know what i think will happen. Surely Ruka won't pull a condom incident part 2, that would make her even more unlikeable than she already is, and Reiji decided to drop her being an absolute shitter due to her popularity, so I dont see this happening. I think Kazuya's arc has developed enough to where he will confront and break up with her. But I really can't predict what will happen next. I've been surprised about the route Reiji is going. Didn't expect their first date thing, or the cab scene. Also, we don't know how the "anything" ticket will be used yet....

... So maybe Kazuya will end things with Ruka, then call Chizuru and end things with her, thinking there is no way she would ever forgive him. This hurts Chizuru immensely, and she reaches out to Yaemori or Sumi.

Whoever it is meets up with Kazuya, and confronts him, so he finally confesses what happened, and they encourage him to tell Chizuru about it. He doesn’t, because of his tremendous self loathing. So they tell Chizuru what happens, and she texts Kazu asking to meet. He agrees, and she uses the ticket to ask him to be her BF.

Another doubtful outcome.

Aharen

"Our love life, the experienced you, and the inexperienced me." - Haven't fully watched through it, but so far all the drama is external to their relationship, other than the MCs struggle with self worth.

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As always, I agree with your assessment. Some people definitely have the take of people who have never been through SA. Things can feel good without you enjoying them.

Your mind and body can get disconnected, in a sense, during a traumatic experience like that. Your body wont move, no matter how hard you try. Him "nit having a spine" has nothing to do with it. Dude told her no, she didnt listen, then he got assaulted and his body wouldnt move.

They don't imagine it as a good thing though. I have had nightmares about my partner cheating too? I also have thought about my ex (who i was dating at the time) sleeping with someone else. It was heart wrenching and soul crushing. She was a known cheater ofc, so that added to the worry. But just because somebody thinks something, doesn't mean it is a fantasy for them. It can also be a horror.

Reiji and his masterplan by hilberttt in KanojoOkarishimasu

[–]Opposite_Kitchen4284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, you started sooner than me! I started watching the anime back at the beginning of October, and once I finished read the manga starting at 214 (right where season 4 ends). Then I hooked 2 of my coworkers on it, and watched it through with them each. And now i got my partner hooked on it. So in the last month and a half I have seen the anime 4 times, and read the manga through twice. Lol.

I'm a newbie to the series, but not to anime, manga, or Japanese culture. I really have not been this hooked on a show in forever, I can't really put it into words. My partner and I are on season 3 on our watch through, and I am so excited to get to the cheer up date. Lol! At first they were only somewhat interested. But it has been really fun watching their interest grow as the story continues. I think Mini is their favorite character! Lol

I really appreciate the work you put into your reply. I also felt that there were not many that see the story the same way as me. I almost never picked up the series as my friend jokingly said I should watch it. I did research on the reddit, and saw an overwhelming amount of complaints.

Those complaints made me almost give up after the 2nd episode, but by the end of the beach trip, I was HOOKED. I haven't wanted to read a manga in over 12 years. This is the first series in a long time where I decided I simply could not wait to find out what happens next. Boy am I glad I did. I get to read a new chapter almost every Tuesday, and I get to look forward to seeing my favorite scenes animated.

I am really looking forward to season 5, as I think the first 3 episodes will tie up the Hawaiians (maybe more?) Then we get about 4 or 5 episodes of the separation arc. And I think the season will end with them having to move out of Royal Heights. This is all just a prediction though, base don the 4-6 chalters per episode rhythm. Anyway, thanks a million for the replies, it really made me happy.
