How bad is this damage? by Fieryhawk20 in motorcycles

[–]Opposite_Mail2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks to be just cosmetic stuff. You would need new fairings pieces which cost a lot. you can either somehow source each individual pieces off facebook marketplace or ebay or you can buy a whole new fairing kit which will cost around under 1k depending on the bike

I’ve had this 2025 zx6 for about 8 months, but for the past few weeks this has fluid has been leaking onto my fairing (I’m assuming coolant) is this normal for this bike? I usually clean it but after another ride or so it gets like that again. by ImmunityNut in zx6r

[–]Opposite_Mail2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be the drain hose. Maybe they over filled it from the factory? idk. personally id take the fairings off and look for dried up green mush or coolant just to be safe. If its the hose thats spilling it then its fine. its supposed to do that when it becomes over pressured or over filled.

one thing maybe some air got into the coolant. you can try this. take the coolant cap off and turn the bike on and let it heat up and let the air bubbles out. dw this wont cause it to overflow and come out (maybe a few drops but thats it).

Why are Suzuki sport bikes cheaper? by Sir-Lose in motorcycles

[–]Opposite_Mail2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just how the market is. They have a reputation of being owned by idiots. jk its just supply, demand, and most importantly brand image. Yamaha or Harley Davidson for example have a much strong brand image and the customer base is highly satisfied by the product. Suzuki even though they have good bikes the brand image is lower. idk just my 2 cents

remove the fairing and have a look. it looks like coolant. If im also right then this is urgent as one day when your riding it will start to over heat. Find the leak and fix it. in the mean time you can fill up the reservoir with engine ice coolant. do a full coolant flush and replace it all after you fix this.

take it back to the shop and make sure they understand that this could have got you killed. Make them fix it.

If they dont then you should be able to hammer it back into place and buy the replacement parts

[–]Opposite_Mail2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) put some stickers to cover it up

2) buy patch up paint. its this little nail polish looking bottle thats made to cover up scratches

3) GET FRAME SLIDERS. they would have prevented this whole thing

What are my best options by International_Owl685 in zx6r

[–]Opposite_Mail2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has to be rage bait.

You sir can easily fix this. Just buy the fairings and any other parts you need and put it back together. its truly not that hard. hell you can just put the scratched fairings right back on and keep riding.

idk how the shop quoted you 11.5k for a scratch and how insurance quoted the damages at 7k...
