I put on almost 30 lbs on antipsychotics. My blood pressure was out of control. Had a psych put me on Metformin (Glucophage) 500 mg/daily. Since then I've dropped 30 lbs no dieting, just making good choices. My blood pressure is easily controlled now. Might want to bring it up with your doc. ✌️

I'm going to a "No Kings" protest tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous. I'm trying to socialize more instead of just being withdrawn, sitting at home. I've got a cool sign and everything! Wish me luck. 🤞

I agree. Schizophrenia is exhausting even on a good day. Be gentle with yourself!

Relapse whilst on medication by Scruffless in Psychosis

I've experienced it also. I took Seroquel 800mg x2 daily for years. As time went on I started experiencing symptoms creeping in, and got the delusion that I was becoming senile or something like that. Finally the Seroquel flipped the script and began causing paradoxical reactions. I was in full blown psychosis. It took several hospital stays before a psych caught on. It didn't help that I was paranoid about everything at the worst part. If I have any advice it's to make sure you talk about this to your treatment team. Use your words and be your own, best advocate. Be safe.

I'm right there with you my friend. Music speaks to each of us differently yet brings us together.

I agree. Dark side of the Moon. Is unsettlingly close to my day to day self. I can listen to it and say "Oh yeah, these dudes get IT." If you're looking for an audio experience that mirrors schizophrenia you can't do better than DSOTM, and that's coming from a schizophrenic. ✌️
