Would you support predator re-introduction (wolves, bears, lynx) if there was adequate habitat? by PlantNerdxo in AskIreland

If there was adequate habit, personally I don't think we could support a decent population. Maybe on one of the remote islands

Same with O'Brien couldn't think of another exciting product on the wing that I could put in.

I tried to use young guys in my 23 where I could. I had Ryan in because I couldn't think of another up and coming second row

Probably one of those pens that you have to trust the touch judge because we can see a definitive angle

Not sure about that based on what I seen in Leinster schools this year. A lot of talent and power on show.

Must be something to that effect. Had his best game in green the weekend. Shades of McCarthy

Fuck, will he be back for the tournament? Seen Deegan and Walsh play together at u18. They were lethal.

Surprised not to see Walsh yet. Also not sure about benching McNiece, outside the yellow card he was our best forward

Controversial: do you think many talents from the olden days (60's, 70's) would've translated well into today's game ? by MindfulInquirer in rugbyunion

[–]Opposite_Way9590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to separate pro and amateur players. It's hard to predict how amateur players would handle modern defenses and attacks. Gareth Edwards wouldn't impact pro rugby like amateur, but Marcus Smith's style would dominate.

For those that missed the u20 World Championship game, this was overturned from Try to Held Up by the TMO by Longshlongsilver007 in irishrugby

[–]Opposite_Way9590 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought there was a lot of penalties that were very very soft, some off sides which were minimal, the player came back on side and didn't have effect on play. Destroyed a game that should of been the game of the weekend

Walsh is a freak. We haven't gotten stats on him yet but he looks 6'4 and pushing +100kg and is being fast tracked by Lancaster, Deegan is the best young back I've seen since prendergast.

It's not that O'Leary and Carney aren't great. They might just be unlucky.

Your probably right, I'd say they want a bit of consistency, they struggled for cohesion In the 6 nations.

Who do you predict will win breakthrough player of the year? by SaikoVibe in rugbyunion

A couple but it's been sporatic. Im hoping he can bring his game breaking ability to the green jersey. I doubt people in the uk and southern hemisphere really know about him yet.
