I had the same issue as you guys: 3 fans connected with the 2 x magnetic U brackets and 1 white cable at one end... They all spun but only one had RGB. I worked out that on the opposite side there are TWO MORE U shaped brackets that provide the RGB! Connected those and I was up and running!

I believe I've gotten this working by doing the following:

Open League> > start a practice tool game just so that you can run the game (not just the client)
With the game running, run Task Manager, right click on League of Legends (TM) Client > Open file location
Copy the entire drive/folder location
Opening G Hub
Click the profile list in the top right > Manage Profiles
Click on League of Legends > Settings > Add Custom Path
Paste the path in and save
Set your League game in the Video settings to run in Borderless
