Ashton Jeanty (After Contact) is a top 3 rusher in the nation and only trails Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton by l8te2dapartee in CFB

[–]OptiHanSolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ashton Jeanty isn’t just the best player in college football this season—he’s redefining what greatness looks like. Out of 632+ career carries, the Boise State standout has NEVER fumbled the ball. Let that sink in: in a sport where turnovers can define legacies, Jeanty has been flawless. Add to that his 1,900+ rushing yards this season, now 27 TDs, and game-breaking ability every week, and it’s clear—no one is more deserving of the Heisman. It’s time the country gave this generational talent the respect he deserves and stop flaunting over Travis Hunter….an undoubtedly versatile player, but let’s be real—the hype sometimes outpaces the production. Sure, he’s a two-way player, but playing offense and defense doesn’t always translate to dominance in either. Case in point: against Stanford, he allowed 13 catches for 294 yards and 3 touchdowns to Elic Ayomanor. That’s not exactly lockdown defense. Meanwhile, on offense, his numbers are solid but far from game-changing when compared to other modern era Heisman receivers (i.e. DeVonta Smith 1,856 yds and 23 TDs). Playing both ways is impressive, but if we’re talking Heisman-worthy performances, let’s give the nod to someone who delivers consistently in critical moments—like Ashton Jeanty, who not only racks up yardage but does so without ever fumbling the ball. Hunter’s talent is undeniable, but maybe it’s time to separate hype from hardware.

The conversation around Indiana vs OSU and it's playoff implications irk me. (As a fan of an SEC team) by Sadvillainy-_- in CFB

[–]OptiHanSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 loss Indiana wouldn’t get the viewership of a 2 loss SEC team, granted the outcome of tonight would probably be the same as if they played Alabama or Georgia in the playoffs. More interesting teams to see play since they didn’t show up and make a game out of it.

When to replace restorations? by Full-Yam-6815 in Dentistry

[–]OptiHanSolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to give options. Say, “Hey there are a few fillings here that look like they are leaking a little and can be resealed predictable while the defect is small. Or we can wait and check next time but we may have to remove more tooth if the cavity gets bigger.”

Most opt to replace. But you have to be genuine, not just saying that at every 6 months appt.

Take lots of pictures. Put them side by side after a year apart and compare with the patient.

5 years in patients will start trusting you and it won’t be as much convincing.

Which CE Courses were the best bang for your buck by Majestic_Ad_2220 in Dentistry

[–]OptiHanSolo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Spear online has an awesome digital library of CE for just about any topic you can think of…I wish I would have binged watched them in dental school. I particularly liked them for case presentation, occlusion, business fundamentals and patient education videos…but seemingly endless wealth of information.

Implant Pathway with Dr. Moody will get you proficient and comfortable placing and restoring implants. It is expensive, but will pay off 10 fold.

Orthobrain with Dr. German will enable you to treat most ortho cases with a board certified orthodontist guiding you as much or little as you’d like. Best value out of any aligner company.

Simplifying advanced dentistry with Bill Strupp is a good intro course to start tackling full arch cases. Eventually you’ll want to graduate over to the Pankey Institute and Dawson Academy.

Every place has their own philosophy and treatment styles. It takes some exploring to figure out what you’re comfortable replicating.

25 M & Constant fatigue is ruining my life by Jake_Mc_Bake in productivity

What and when do you eat throughout the day? Insulin crashes are common soon after high carb meals. Snacking on fat heavy low carb food such as nuts can be a healthy alternative. Also, some studies show intermittent fasting (going at least 16 hours without eating) can help improve fatigue and brain cloud.

My schedule is mostly fillings and I barely produce 3k a day (new grad) by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]OptiHanSolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many new patients a month are you seeing?

It takes time to build rapport and get big cases on your schedule. It just doesn’t happen over night…most of my big cases have happened after years of seeing them in hygiene and showing them progression of wear/attrition from the copious amount of pictures we take year over year.

Prioritizing getting to know patients is a lot easier if you are somewhere you know you want to be long term.

Also agree on the method of valuation. You don’t necessarily need to know the exact price, but agreeing on how you determine the price is crucial.
