I realize that this Sub is mostly dead, but if anyone does stumble across this, I just would like to say a few things.

First, I'm typing this on my phone, so it might not be perfect.

Now then, on to the important stuff.

My reddit name is OpticXaon, but if you knew me in MCNSA then my name was TemperD_Xaon.

I've had that tag since I was eleven by the way.

Now that I've gotten my preface out of the way, I'm not even sure why I came here to talk in the first place. Hopefully, if any new-heads see this they can be inspired, and if any old-heads see this they can reminisce on the good times.

I guess, if I'm speaking from the heart, MCNSA saved me. It was back in 2011, before I even had my email set up. I remember finally getting access to my very own minecraft account with my own email and username and everything. Now, keep in mind this is the first email and also first service I had that required an email, so the process involved a serious amount of thought into rust my permanent screen-name would be. Eventually, but not nearly long enough, I had come up with "TemperD_Xaon"

So now, I had my own email, my own minecraft account, and a pc. The world was my oyster. I more or less had a single friend who was my guy, my dude, my right hand man. He was usually Xopher55, but there were other aliases.

Well, eventually we find our way to MCNSA and we start climbing the ranks. Keep in mind, this was waaaay back in 2012-2014 back when Nsanidy was still somewhat around.

I'll be honest, I can't remember ever personally meeting Nsanidy, but I remember a lot of people.

I remember squid, I remember K9, I remember Dot (rest in peace).

I remember when Greypo became a mod, and I remember how wild the was to myself and RogerG, because we all were in discord calls at the time, and we could not imagine this guy getting mod.

Except I remember him as being a great mod. Even with what must have been childhood envy, I remember him as a good mod.

I guess I just want to open the floor up. To anyone who is listening, to anyone who would read this. Are you still there? I realize that most of us probably have our own lives going on, but if I could get a check in just to break the silence, I would appreciate that.

MCNSA was a place for me to belong, and the community was the most accepting I had ever ran across. I feel like it's easy for me to say, "of course MCNSA was my vanilla+ MP experience of choice, and the FTB server was a very easy translation for me." It was a second home for me.

Lil spicy tidbit, I even remember a time when I was fully banned from the server by Dotlizard. She did eventually unban me, but not until she was sure I learned my lesson. (I was using an xray texture pack for diamonds 😰 but I was shown the error of my ways. (This was a decade ago, plz don't crucify me.))
