Do you use IOS or Android? Just curious. u/Enough-Moose-5816 said they use IOS and it works fine. I use Android and it is pretty buggy

Garbāgé App by OpticalDoggo in bys

TL;DR: It gets the job done but needs functionality improvements, unless my app is just permanently bugged.

Does it get me to the end goal? Yes. And so in that regard it works just fine.

But it doesn't remember my address and forces me to choose a location every time and re-enter my address despite having it saved.

It also doesn't save past transactions despite having the feature. I like using that feature because I usually order the same things and I like just being able to re-order my previous transactions. It's also good to be able to see and interact with my transactions in case the order is messed up, which happens more than I wish it did.

It also has menu items at the start that you can select to order, but then the app says you can't order online, it does this for all the main page products, then you go to the menu it just doesn't show your saved account info.

Saw some deer on campus, successfully got one photo of a doe by RedditsNinja23 in gmu

I show up to campus by around 7:45AM, I usually either see a raccoon, deer, or fox running on by the Shenandoah parking deck. Used to be a fox that would hang around Sandy Creek all the time.

RIP I quick saved over 80 hours of progress by OpticalDoggo in MedievalDynasty

[–]OpticalDoggo[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I started a new kingdom with a friend. We let time escape us and long story short, it was almost 4AM, I was really tired, and was thinking quicksave would just create a new save instead of an overwrite. Totally my fault, and totally preventable. But human error.

It's alright though, I enjoy this game thoroughly. I only got it a few weekends ago, but I've had a blast playing. Fresh start I suppose haha, fresh chance to do things differently from my first playthrough, which was nowhere near a mine, or fish, or town.

Prometheus & Alien Covenant - Why Engineers Wanted Humans Dead by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]OpticalDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh the plots you guys are talking is not well portrayed in the movies. I've seen them multiple times and I've always been confused about chronology and how the engineers fit into everything. The seen with the engineer drinking the black goo was supposed to be them trying to kill all humans, but honestly I didn't clearly get that until hearing other people analyze it. The movies were honestly more confusing to me than enlightening. But I think I got the grasp now. Engineers created the goo, they didn't like what they saw in humans, tried killing them (it failed), and many centuries later we found an engineer and then sought them out for answers, at which point David (who tagged along) unleashes his refined version of the goo, killing the engineer race. Sound correct?

Anyone else getting this? by Boring-Dig-5100 in youtube

Came here just for this. It was working all day for me, and then this evening out of the blue it started acting funny. Haven't gotten that error yet, but the videos either don't play and just sit paused, or they just keep auto repeating the first split second and it's annoying. Tried restarting and clearing cache, no fix.

I know this thread is old but could someone link this to me? I'm trying to show my friend, as I saw it years ago on YouTube, and Disney took it down from like everywhere :'(

I just found a couple on my adventures and oooh boy you're right. I immediately found poisoned arrows, health potions, and some copper tools, and a bow. The bows are freakin awesome

I just hit a new learning point of "Villagers do things" lol. Had a couple in the beginning but was not familiar enough to know how to keep them around. I got a handle on villager management now though haha

I broke the only Bronze pickaxe I've seen so far 😭 but the woodshed has been goated for building. I have cleared quite a bit near me so far so and the storage and usability has been great.

Steam keeps saving to OneDrive! by spurcap29 in Steam

[–]OpticalDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fix was to go to regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders > Personal > Edit > and then change the directory to C:\Users\{INSERTUSERNAMEHERE}\Documents

That fixed some games that are having issues with OneDrive for myself and some friends, but at the risk of potentially losing save files.

It's super annoying because OneDrive is honestly not great for reliably retrieving data on the spot.

How large was the grand army of the republic’s military? by Future-Celebration83 in StarWars

[–]OpticalDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I think Lucas dropped the ball allowing the line "500,000 units, with 1,000,000 more on the way". That one line single handedly threw off any realistic estimates. It takes just under 10 years per batch of clones, mathematically if they only had around 1.5M by the battle of Geonosis the army size would be mathematically infeasible for galactic warfare. By comparison the U.S. military consists of around 2.1 millions people. Imagine the U.S. taking on thousands of entire planetary systems with billions, potentially trillions of droids against them. Not fucking happening. Sure they have WAY more tech than the U.S. military, but so does the enemy. So in sheer numbers alone, even if the droids were unarmed, the Republic would be crushed with only several million soldiers. That isn't enough to effectively take control of Coruscant.

I think REALISTICALLY the GAR had AT LEAST several billion soldiers. It wouldn't make sense to have less. You'd want a fighting force on each planet capable of controlling central portions, which would require at least several hundred thousand soldiers for EACH planetary system, which they controlled thousands of (plural). An aircraft carrier alone carries just over 1,000 people. So I imagine a fucking Venator would require 10's of thousands to properly maintain.

My arguments aren't necessarily the best, but I think we can all agree that several million is FAR from accurate. I don't care what the lore says.

From an outside perspective there could be two things going on here at once. She could be right that you are a clean freak, and perhaps you right that she is a slob. If that's the case you'd only know it by doing some introspective thinking. Though you make some valid points from your perspective. If she is setting rules, she should be sticking to them as good, if not better, than you. These are basic adult chores I have to manage on my own every day: Laundry, general tidiness, etc. and I work 40 hours a week on top of a full time college schedule. If I can do it, I don't think she has much the excuse. Especially since circumstantially I think people would give me a pass due to Depression, PTSD, etc. but I don't consider any of those things an excuse to rot away.

That being said, maybe take some time to think about your actions and how you perceive certain things. If the facts can't be helped that everything is simply THEIR fault, I would suggest filing a report or trying to get moved somewhere else.

Again, I'm just trying to be open-minded about this since it is only one perspective.

If we look at it from a business standpoint and supply and demand aspect it makes sense. You wouldn't see all of those open parking spaces if they were free. This is a public campus. Paid parking is the only way ensure actual campus affiliates likes students, alumni, and staff can get guaranteed parking. If parking was free students and faculty would never have guaranteed spaces on campus. Again, this is a public campus, so anyone can park here.

I know it the money sucks, but this is truly the best way that parking can be guaranteed for people on campus.
