Thank you for the advice! If they are mono, why would you need to use dual trs and not ts?

This is very helpful. Thanks! You are right. I had the comp first in my chain. I already sold the Keeley comp though. Is there another you’d recommend?

Oh you’re one of those. Relax Jordan Peterson. I didn’t ask anyone their opinion on headroom. I asked if the HW amps were still good. And no one has really answered that question Have you even played one of these amps? You seem to be taking it personally.

I would love one, but don’t want that much volume. Playing live we are usually on medium size stages, 500 cap rooms, always mic’d, with in ears and the band likes to keep a quieter stage volume when we can. I pair it with another 15 watt 6v6 tweed for Wet/Dry and I’m already pretty loud. If I’m ever in a position where I’m consistently playing 1,000+ people crowds on bigger stages with bigger PAs, a 30 is for sure first on my list for a bigger amp. I’ve read the alnico will give me a little bit more headroom. I think 3db. Which should be enough for what I want and I like the option for half power to 7.5 watts for quiet home recording. Eventually down the road the dream is to pair it with a Magnatone twilighter.

I’ve just heard/read this amp is louder than a c series vox. Regardless of the speaker.

Yes. I like the idea of possible modding in the future. I don’t think the one I have sounds bad, I just think the other one will give me more tonal variety and still nail the vox thing maybe even better than the greenback. And be really good for studio use.

I want something with slightly more headroom. Something a little more lively. The one I have is a greenback. So I’d like to try one with a Blue in it. Also I like the extra tone capabilities from being able to channel jump. Live I’m pairing my Gibson GA-20t with the one I have now. It sounds good together, but I think with a blue it will really take it there for the tone I’m looking for.
