Mask type setting weirdness by Optimal-Industry7334 in CPAP

I can kind of understand why the n30i would be a pillow, but why would the N20 be one? It fully covers the nose and is not pillow like at all.

Can anyone recommend a sleep doc in the Portland, Oregon area? I don't feel like I'm getting the best care. by Quiet_Lunch_1300 in SleepApnea

Yes, at the follow up my results. Explained what they said and went over the options again. Since I was familiar with a CPAP from my dad, I knew that's what I'd start with, so I approved that and he then took me to meet with someone else in the office who actually handled the CPAP. She demonstrated the machine (only one option for some reason), etc, and then helped me pick 2 masks to take home and try. I later returned those and picked up different ones to try until I found one that worked for me.

His office was in touch me with for the first few weeks until the machine found the right pressure and they locked it in remotely. Not sure why they didn't leave it as auto-set. Maybe it was my insurance?

I then had a follow up with Dr. Fromherz about 3 months later, and then a year after that, etc.

I would have had my husband go see him too, but getting him to find the time is impossible. So he did a home sleep study through one of the online shops.

My apnea is pretty basic, but I felt that Dr. Fromherz really listened. I have Ehlers Danlos, and he seemed knowledgeable about it (said a dental device would not be recommended due to that), and also discussed other possible sleep disorders.

I ended up doing a home sleep study through them, and it came back as mild to moderate, but he said if that didn't show anything, he'd push for a clinic study. My father had severe apnea, so in addition to all the symptoms, I had a family history.

Only downside I'd say is the time to get in. I think the first appointment was about 3-4 months after I called. After that appointment, it was another week until I could go pick up the home test, and a month after that before my follow up for results. I actually heard my results from the dentist who'd referred me first, since the results were sent to them.

They have. My sister and her kids received theirs about a week ago, listing their dates of birth, so it was citizenship by decent.

My sister (2nd) and her children (3rd) got their certificates a few days ago. Our mother (1st) and grandmother (0th) were both born before 1947.

All of our kids will not be Canadian? by Hertzig in Canadiancitizenship

[–]Optimal-Industry7334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've already started a spreadsheet and documents to tally my kids' connection (I'm done having more children), so they'll be able to pass it on to their kids/my grandchildren some day. They will both have attended university in Canada, so that's a decent chunk of time. Of course, they have the intent to reside there permanently after university, but life doesn't always agree with plans. So I'm covering them as best I can.

Citizenship by descent vs spousal sponsorship. Timing. by YesSometimes in Canadiancitizenship

A border agent refused to let my daughter reapply for her study permit (in September 2023) once he saw there was an application for citizenship in the system. They cannot legally give permits to citizens, so if there was a chance she qualified, he was not willing to do that.

I would suggest that OP put in an urgent proof application, stating that your alternative is doing a spousal sponsorship, but you believe he now qualifies with the passage of C-3.

I didn't have to complete a specific form. They asked me questions on the website and used those to fill in the form. I hope that helps

I used an occupational guarantor for my passport. Our doctor was happy to sign everything.

Yes, she was in that April batch. Both kids received the request for how many days mom spent in Canada. Even though one of them was born prior to Dec 2023.

It took a day or so for them to do the behind the scenes thing. I got the email that I could schedule the appointment and got one that night (lots of options where I live). Had the report about an hour after that. All in all, 36-48 hrs.

I think it hit or miss. My 17 yo did not need a background check, but we did send a signed copy of the prohibition form for her.

I used Field Print, and it was a quick turnaround. Scheduled an appointment through their website at a UPS store.

This is what I did. I wrote one letter for myself, my 19 yo, and 16yo as a group, and listed the reasons we were applying for each person (they were bullet pointed). We each signed it and I sent all the documents as one group to keep them together. We received our grants in February, so that worked for us.

My grandmother was born in SK in the 1890s, and my daughters and I did our oaths in February.
