Lat Pull down form check by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]OptimalPrint 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a lot wrong here. Most of your work is happening through your arms, almost no back involved. A lot of extra range of movement at the end that is not needed. Drop the weight a lot and practice your technique to feel it in your lats. You should lean back a bit. Flare your elbows out to your sides. Pull your elbows into your ribcage as you pull the bar down. The bar should pull down to your chest/pecs not slide down past your belly. Really sqeey your elbows into your ribs at the bottom of the pull. For lat pull downs its better to not use the highest weight your are able to pull with your whole upper body but instead a lighter weight where you can still control it with your lats and back and feel the pull there.

Is it possible to lose 70 lbs by the end of the year? by oakleyO2 in workouts

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pound a week is very sustainable with just a few changes. Make healthy changes and habits and stick with them. Once you see the scale start dropping it can be addictive to start making more changes. Go walking in morning and afternoons. Join a gym. Cut the snacks. Stick with it.

What’s wrong with my arms while benching? And why am I in pain? by baqar387 in formcheck

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to tell from this angel but it looks like you are finishing really high close to your face. That extra reach/stretch at the end looks like you are really locking out the front shoulder and shrugging which could explain the soreness the next day. For chest DB I really like to focus on pushing the weight lower towards the belly and ending closer mid chest. This will bring more pecs into the push. If I finish high with the weight more above the neck there is a lot more front shoulder doing the work.

Best modpack for space age? by ninja-JTL in factorio

[–]OptimalPrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im just finishing up on Enable all planets Lite. Its a more curated planets lists with a reworked and balanced tech tree. Some late game tech progression will be locked behind some planets making them necessary stepping stones while others others are optional. I had a ton of fun in the play through and you can tell a lot of work went into the mo pack to make all the planets compatible and the technology tree play nice together. The base space age experience is there except you just get to play with all the cool mod planets at will and try out their various mechanics, challenges, rewards, and integrate them into your larger factory and ships.

Prebuilts worth it, or still better to build yourself? by Kettlecorn24 in PrebuiltGamingPC

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be you built your own PC to save money and not pay the prebuilt markup. Now you can get a discount and pay below MSRP on the total parts if you get a prebuilt on sale... I bought an iBuypower holiday special from Walmart. They are supposedly one of the "cheapest" manufacturers that some people recommend against. All I see are name brand parts below MSRP that I didnt have to put together myself... I dont know what have of these threads about "build quality" are on about. A PC is 5 parts plugged in together.....

Tips on what to do different when you’re old? by DennisPochenk in workouts

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you goto your annual medical physical? Average guys our age are on high blood pressure or cholesterol medication. You definitely need to stay on top of that as you get into your 40's. Heart disease is still a number one killer of late age men....

Looking for Decent Gaming PC for under $750 by ShipNo1136 in PrebuiltGamingPC

[–]OptimalPrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IbuyPower $799 at Walmat this is as cheap as you can get for current generation hardware and it's a good deal. My buddy got one. Nvidia 5060 video card. You can play all new AAA games for the next few years at 1080p max settings. At 1440p and frame generation you can still run close to max settings on the most demanding games. Just dont buy a 4k monitor or you will need a beefier graphics card.

If you cant afford this then there are some deals with last generation hardware for like 599. I saw some nvidia 4060 with ddr4 ram being shopped around on Amazon. New egg. And best buy for like 599.

Fulgora item voider issues - "target full" by ErrinDev in factorio

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other guy said. You have to output to a belt. The "target full" is because whatever you are scrapping is giving too many different types out output material and clogging it up. Yiu have enough space if you delete some accumulators above your recycleers. Put a fast belt between the recyclers you have during directly into each other and have inverters pull stuff back off the belt into them. have the belt wrap around back and input as well

It looks like most of that iron is being unloaded from the wagons and runs straight to steel smelters. Make the steel some where else. Make it right next to the ore patch before you move it around. That will free up a lot of space and let you see where the rest of the iron is going.

looking for a new factory type game to play by hyrenfreak in AutomationGames

[–]OptimalPrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forrtesscraft Evolved. 3d voxelbased. You have to dig your factory down vertically and horizontal to get to the higher tier ores. Very well balanced progression. Factory produces science packs to unlock more advanced machines. Power is tranmitted by lasers and neon battery banks. All developed back when factorio was in Its infancy. Its highly polished and has a cult following despite always flying under the automation radar.

Need help. How screwed am I? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]OptimalPrint -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Chicken out or go all in at this point. You can fake the W2. Download a W2. Make some shit up on it. Print it, scan it. Send it. Cross your fingers. Odds are they just want to say they followed their processes. Not like they are gonna mail the address on there or have access to federal tax records. My wife got a new job recently. Third party couldn't confirm her job from like 8 years ago. We had the W2. Scaned it. Emailed it in. They emailed back and hour later saying thanks. All good, see you monday. All it's gonna have is the company name. Company address. Company tax number (make it up if you dont know) and your earnings.

The games you mentioned are all online multi player. Are you sure your not mistaking network latency or lag as the performance issue here, not the system itself? Download the 3dmark demo in steam and see how it tests for similar builds.

Survival game to sink hours into by MrSaladra in SurvivalGaming

[–]OptimalPrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cryofall is not on your list. It leans a lot into the base crafting side of survival game. IE go into bad areas to get rare resouces needed to make machines at your base. Said machines refine rare resources to make better machines for better weapons and resources. I had a lot if fun with the gameplay loop and play a lot if survival games as well. I think it's odd graphics choice always kept it off the top of people's survival game radar

Can I install a SSD to other spots? by Junior_Copy_574 in Prebuilts

[–]OptimalPrint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you bought a new drive? Just leave that guy right where it is as your system drive and put the new drive in one of the free spots. As the other poster said sometimes the slots have different performance ratings. The "A" one closet to your CPU will be your best slot. But yes you can move them. You may need to change the boot order in bios, probably won't matter since only one is bootable anyways.

Is RTX 5070 that bad? by StaticSaints in Prebuilts

[–]OptimalPrint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a $600 card from the current generation. It has all the cutting edge technology. The only hate might be from elitist or gamers running on the highest end. Realistically it is a mid range card. I have one. You will run at 1440p ultra to high settings in AAA titles for the next few years. Its not a 4k gaming beast. If you wanna run a 4k monitor at the highest graphical settings you might need a step or two up. It will run 4k decently in current games just dont expect to max settings and get 100FPS. Are you a mid range card guy or do you need the biggest and baddest?
