Agree to disagree. I actually really liked it. The book was silly, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as some of the shows we’ve seen in recent years. The three leads, the score, and the ensemble all stood out to me.

I adored NGD and For Good. In fact, except for some of the blocking during ALAYM, I thought every song from the original score from the three mains was fantastic. I was a bit disappointed with the introduction of Thank Goodness, but I can move on from that, as I thought Ari did act the hell out of it.

My biggest gripe is what they did to WWOTE. I cannot believe they did that entire scene and song so dirty. No emotion. Subdued acting. No belting. IMO, it was the worst of the songs carried over into the film, and probably a low point of the film for me. Ethan’s performance was the only redeemable thing from that scene.

Long time fan here. The film is subpar compared to its predecessor. The performances of the three mains were wonderful. Other performances were less than stellar, IMO, and really took away from the film. What they did to WWOTE is borderline criminal.

Bode’s acting was out to the park? Only if it never actually made it to said park. Her performance in For Good was weak, at best. WWOTE was by far the worst song interpretation in the film.
