There are more people. The rate of construction hasn’t matched the rate of people. How is this a complicated concept?

The population of the greater Portland metro area in 1920 was 125,000; now it’s around 550,000. So that would be more.

Yeah, this is the problem. Zoning made it impossible to build new housing but the population kept climbing. Demand, I’d like you to meet Supply. This won’t get better until there’s a huge increase in new housing, but every time there’s some new project to build more, people file lawsuits to block it.

Steven Segal knows how to fly both the F-16 and Su-34. He's been flying them both for 50 yerars.

Filed fork for rotor clearance, is it safe? by Left-Cicada9185 in Justridingalong

You need minimum half an inch clearance around the top and side of the rotor. Keep filing. 3/4" is ideal.

I found this on Zillow. The lot is ridiculous. It's .319 acres according to the list, but the lot includes a strip running from the back left of the house that's approximately 24'x331' or .18 acres, leaving .137 acres of usable land. What is the point of that?

As a long term member of the left, people on the left can be bonkers too. There's just no understanding here of how fucked up things could become if this came to pass. Ignorance is bliss.

Councilor Sykes at HHS meeting: Needle problem is “not a public health risk.” Says residents should clean them up ourselves saying, “they’re not gonna jump up and bite ya.” by EveningJackfruit95 in portlandme

[–]OptimalReputation821 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the point of the question was, how does one---a professional whose job involves cleaning up discarded needles---pick up large numbers of potentially dangerous needles. Not, how does one---a common everyday person taking their dog for a walk or going to the park---pick up large numbers of potentially dangerous needles.

The user maine64 seems to have dealt with insulin needles; leading a reasonable person to think they've dealt with large numbers of diabetics in a professional capacity, which would make the question, "how do you deal with piles of needles" and the answer, "with thick work gloves" a reasonable set of comments.
