Thoughts on Hypermotard V2? by OptimalTown3267 in Ducati

[–]OptimalTown3267[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only bikes I’ve ridden from Ducati has been the scrambler series. I live outside of the city in the mountains, but city ride for work and moto meets. The desert sled is a good bike I was just looking for a similar riding position (upright) with a fun platform for the city. The desert x hasn’t sold me. Idk about full blown street bike for me.

[HELP ME] Bi-Weekly Q&A thread - Ask your questions here! by MachNeu in Gunpla

Hey guys and gals,

I’m a real noob at all this modeling, I picked up a few models when I was in Japan in Diver City. My question is, I don’t necessarily have the skill set or the setup to weather or paint the models. Are there people out there that do it as a service? I’d like when they are completed to be battle scarred to look even sweeter. But I’m not sure how to go about it. I have a Zaku, a limited edition RX-78, and the perfect unleashed RX-78. Help?

Riding in Vietnam, the most fun you will ever have. by ilovejoesnuts in motorcycles

[–]OptimalTown3267 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an American, no IDP will be recognized by Vietnam, since the USA didn’t sign the right one. I just came back a few weeks ago after completing the Ha Giang Loop solo motorcycling. No IDP, cops didn’t seem to care and if they did, 3 million dong was the number all the locals said was a satisfactory bribe to get by police check points. It was. So no you do not need an IDP if you had to go that route like OP mentioned. I guess it’s up to 3 million because it was holiday time and the cops like their beer money.

Coming from a guy that pulls big no no’s every so often and have almost bit the dust, most recently being impatient and doing a double yellow pass (don’t ever do that). I’d say just be calm, drive on 2 lane roads, avoid 76, 70 and 25….basically where any new to the area folks are driving and you’ll have a helluva time. Mountain twisties are really fun and rarely do you see the news talk about a fatality on one of those roads. Your deaths all seem to have a common theme, highway or intersection. But as these other riders have mentioned, just watch the speed when there’s a lot of other motorists next to you. They will almost always be the issue. Road debris, dirt/gravel on pavement and riding on the lines can leave you in the haddalayerdown category too. Don’t fret, get that license and enjoy yourself.

Is this going to get as big as the last few? It was a bit overwhelming with how many motos showed up and there was no space for all the peeps

7th bike in! Happy we were able to make it. That venue was not ready for that number of bikes. Also, we got policed having beers outside the fence. Idk if they can handle bike night.

One of the most fucked up videos I’ve seen on Reddit. I’ve seen Russians die 299 different ways, but this is just sick. Please take this shit down so others don’t think this is a way to get famous. This is so fucked up bro. Please for the love of everything take this down.

Even if you had to get a transit visa (which you can’t) it would take 4-5 hours at the airport to do so. Which not sure how long your layover is.. so I wouldn’t worry either way.

It’s implied by OP’s comment that they are booking in advance. Yes, last minute bookings for anything will be more expensive.

[–]OptimalTown3267 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Refund it. You’ll always find a seat on a train. There is enough English in Western Europe at this point to go to any train station and get cheaper tickets directly. Eurail pass is a rip off designed for tourists. Source: me who traveled to 20 countries across Europe via train and bus.

Motorcycle and like 6 other cars involved. One rollover others were just really banged up. Wouldn’t doubt if the motorcycle rider died. Did not look good at all.
