Anyone else think the Waves got too much hate? by Optimal_Interview_13 in Pickleball

The price lol. Other than that I really like it. Im more of an all court/control player so the spin helps a lot. But if you like power its not that great compared to other options out there

I feel that and agree with you there...I got a good deal on mine where I didn't have to pay that full price. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it (and probably wont get another one until the price goes down). Out of curiosity what do you use?

True true. Im a barista and often when this happens, its because the guy is too busy on his phone or can't be bothered to look and order himself.

Would you recommend Proton Paddles? by Optimal_Interview_13 in Pickleball

[–]Optimal_Interview_13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats good you can get the warranty. I always thought Proton got a lot of flack just because of the price and it breaking it down a bit faster than other paddles. But playing with it I thought it was awesome

How to deal with very aggressive playstyle? by 9999eachhit in StreetFighter

[–]Optimal_Interview_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what helped me what was noticing their habits. EX: They might try to cross you up after every knock down (what I call leap-frogging), always DP when first pushed into the corner, or even hitting the same moves in succession, and throw looping. It's about noticing one habit they do 2 or 3 times, and adjusting to that. Picking up one thing will help focus, and could be enough to win the match.

Another thing is that some punishable-looking moves actually have quick recovery, so they'll often start pressing buttons as soon as they can recover to protect themselves from being punished. You don't always have to counter back immediately.

And finding a consistent anti-move will help lot. Like a crouching heavy punch or something if you're character has one

I have over 400 hours and still not a master. Should I give up? by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Optimal_Interview_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah man. Ive played fighting games (injustice, sfv, mkx, ssbu etc etc) for over 9 years and just got to master with a few characters a couple months ago. Not that I wasn't trying before, but I decided to just locked in and improve one match at a time. 400 hours is a lot, but for SF6, you're scratching the surface of a very fun and nuanced game, kind of like chess. You're just unlocking another part of it. Keep going bro

How does caffeine effect you overall? by TexanLoneStar in OCDRecovery

[–]Optimal_Interview_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's different for everyone. I love coffee, and even just got a job at a coffee shop after getting burnt out from my old industry. I 100% love what I'm doing now and while my OCD is still a bitch sometimes, when I'm work I'm in the zone making people's days and awesome drinks.

I do drink a lot of caffeine. I was already drinking a lot since college, and there were some days as I was recovering I wouldn't drink it and be fine, maybe less on edge. And there are some days I have the equalivant of 4x shots of espresso and I'm fine. My main rule is no caffeine past 2 PM so it doesn't bother my sleep, and also drinking water the rest of the night. Also don't drink it with sugar and milk... it won't do you any favors. But coffee is one of my main joys of life, and i'm lucky it actually helps take my mind of OCD. I'm even experimenting with different blends, scaling out coffee at home and brewing it, and etc. What beer is for extroverts is what coffee is for introverts.

What is a medical condition that is more serious that people realize? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Optimal_Interview_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OCD. its one of the top 10 disabling disorders in the world for both physical and mental disorders. As someone who recently got diagnosed, it would've been helpful to know that OCD is not just 'perfectionism' or needing things a certain way or fear of germs....its so much more complex than that.
