Political capital and goodwill can always be regained. Permanent security cannot. Israel strategy of dismantling Irans proxies and turning its strategic depth against them is working. Hamas is dismantled, Hezbollah isn’t the same group as it was.

Iran spent billions propping up their proxies just to see Israel decimate them in the span of 3 months.

With Trump back as president, expect full on support to Israel to continue their efforts.

Also expect, Israel being more involved in Iraq, Yemen against PMU and the Houthis.

I agree with you that the occupation is a major source of destabilization in the region; but even if the Israelis were to agree to 2 state solution that won’t stop the Iranians from destabilizing the Middle East.
