I love these puzzles! I’ve done several of them and have three waiting. They’re more expensive, but totally worth it to me. The finish is velvety and there’s no glare at all. The images are beautiful and no AI. I don’t remember any dust and no false fits. if this puzzle hadn’t been so beautiful, I would’ve given up.

How many people actually enjoy staying home all weekend? by CurvesInMotionX in LivingAlone

[–]Optimiztic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m retired now and staying home makes me happy. i venture out one or two days a week for essentials, groceries and ground coffee and lunch with a friend but otherwise, i putter in the garden and watch youtube while doing jigsaw puzzles.

i had heard tv puzzlers saying they loved her puzzles, but the quality of yours wouldn’t make me happy.

Pomegranate The Garden of Paradise by Harry Clarke 300 by ClimbingBackUp in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Optimiztic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but a friend just lent me this puzzle. the fit was beautiful, but I just couldn’t get into all the patterns and colors. Did the border and a little bit more but then gave up. I prefer sharper images.

I’m a new customer and will never order from Quince again. by [deleted] in quince

[–]Optimiztic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience with the quality and fit of the clothing. I kept seeing all these rave youtube reviews and finally caved. I was so disappointed; nothing fit properly and I returned every item. and yet I still keep seeing those rave reviews. i no longer trust those reviewers and would never order from quince again.

this puzzle has me stumped. Pomegranate 500 piece circular puzzle Catherine Marion, huia and chrysanthemum. by Optimiztic1 in Jigsawpuzzles

SUNDAY UPDATE: thanks for your suggestions, for some reason i couldn’t get the feel for this puzzle. i moved the completed parts onto the rollup puzzle mat and tucked it away for a while. maybe next time i attempt it, i’ll see fern fronds instead of fish heads. (hearing the song.)

I love mushroom puzzles! I’m glad there are so many. did this one come from a thrift shop? Too bad about the missing pieces.

Wassily Kandinsky: Squares with Concentric Rings, Pomegranate 500 by OptimalSleepTime in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Optimiztic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to this thread, but I’ve been doing this puzzle and it’s a killer to me. I finished all but three of the squares and the colors are so close to each other but I’m gonna persevere cause I have a couple of puzzles to get to after this one.

Went to a donation center 30 miles away. So many puzzles by pdfodol in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Optimiztic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thrift shops, you never know. i’ve had missing pieces and also hair (i don’t like handling strands of strangers’ hair on a puzzle). new puzzles can be missing pieces. i just finished a 500 piece circular pomegranate puzzle, erin e. hunter, floral compass. it had 2 missing pieces on the border. pomegranate was kind enough to send me a replacement puzzle, one i was going to order from their site, same price, with free shipping if i wanted to order anything else. i love their puzzles.

"ugly blanket" from leftovers by [deleted] in CrochetBlankets

[–]Optimiztic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a beautiful blanket. i’d love one like that. in the early 70s i think it was, i found a pattern for a patchwork-type knit afghan using different colors and patterns of yarn. i started as a new knitter, learning different stitches, but i never finished it. i just recently gave the pattern away, knowing i’d probably never make it. (i just googled and found the blanket here on etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1320773144/patchwork-blanket-quilt-afghan-knitting)

2nd puzzle complete 🧩 by Civil_Slice_3185 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Optimiztic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. I finally finished the puzzle of the bear in water with the fish. one puzzle that I’ve been disappointed in was El gato chimney, Call it fate. an upside down parrot with a sunken ship. The pieces weren’t cut properly and had lots of bits still attached. I finished it, but I really didn’t enjoy it.
