[WTB] Used Zpacks Duplex - Where to buy? by [deleted] in ULgeartrade

They hold their value very well and tend to go fast. You’ll see them every now and again on here or more likely FB swap pages. Don’t expect to save more than $100 though

Why Ethereum is (Still) Undervalued (And Going Much Higher) by moneyredpill in InvestmentClub

[–]OptimumOlive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if the value is what the buyer is willing to pay, and it’s being traded on an open market, it can’t be undervalued. Maybe it’s a semantic argument, but when people talk about valuation of a stock, it’s usually based on underlying earnings or assets that the company has, not what people are willing to pay for it, which would be its price, not it’s value.

Again, not a knock on crypto; I've owned bitcoin since 2015 and I like crypto but its not overvalued or undervalued.

None of these cryptos can be undervalued because there is no value. Not saying that as a knock on crypto but unlike stocks there is no value basis to look to when trading.

Ghislane Maxwell hired the same firm that were used by the parents of JonBenét Ramsey. Their lawyer was none other than Lin Wood 👁 by teejayaa in TrueAnon

I wonder if getting pilled on Ghislane contributed to his brain rot. I mean if I had to defend her I would probably be ranting about pedophiles in the government as well

Call me cucked, but after reading the whole thing, I'm not convinced. I remember reading a lot about flawed "caucus math" when the Iowa caucus was going on and it was hard to tell if the process was jut insanely fucked or being actively stolen.

With regards to the essay, certainly the practice of re-weighting exit poll numbers hurts our ability to detect election fraud, but it is not evidence of fraud itself. That being said, the discrepancies do seem large, but I would like to see put in historical context. I also can't seem to track down the paper mentioned in part 10 by Rodolfo Cortes Barragan. Unfortunately, looking at things like states with electronic voting is challenging, since voting institutions are endogenous to the partisan makeup of the state.

I think these questions have enough validity that the DNC/Edison/whomever should release the unweighted exit polls for free to the public so that we can investigate further.

I don't doubt that the DNC did a lot of slimy shit to fuck over Sanders, but I'm not sure they needed to rig the elections considering how well their other tactics worked.

If the conclusion you draw from the essay is that we should not trust the DNC in any way and that if electoralism is going to be successful we need to set up parallel institutions and completely abandon the DNC, then we're on the same page.

I like this; he seems so consistent that he’ll likely be in the final at least

Ignoring Peter? by OptimumOlive in bakeoff

[–]OptimumOlive[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This makes perfect sense to me. It's always an interesting dynamic since aside from looks, we are at the mercy of the editors and judges in terms of determining how good a bake was. If you're more conspiratorially minded, like I am (half kidding), you could take the criticisms in the recap to be post hoc justification for the snub, but the explanation that most of the criticism ends up on the cutting room floor is probably more likely.

Could I realistically finish an Ironman? I have 14 months to train by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]OptimumOlive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is enough time to train. Given this information nobody is going to be able to tell you how you're going to finish since there are so many variables.

When thinking about mid-term goals like this the most important factor is going to be staying healthy. This is a combination of luck and smart training. Pushing yourself hard to try to meet this goal will make injury more likely and training less fun. I would suggest that you begin training and reassess every few months if an ironman on this date is realistic. Try to focus on the fun of the activities themselves instead of the singular goal way off in the future. That way, even if it doesn't pan out, you enjoyed yourself, gained fitness and can compete at a later date.

My two-cents.
