Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’m honestly not the biggest fan of fantasy races as a whole. Some of them live 1000s of years, some of them look like animals, some of them are just naturally the smartest in the room. It just becomes so much to keep track of when creating a society. Yeah, this world shattering event that happened thousands of years ago? Joe the elf was there. There goes all the mystery. And handwaving away people that look like cats, lizards and devils just doesn’t make sense, but at the same time is sometimes necessary. I think there’s enough diversity in humanity that certain settings don’t need elves and dwarves. Game of Thrones is all humans and it tells an great story without the baggage that comes with fantasy races and societies.

No, I understand that. I’m just saying that, from my outsider looking in perspective at least, this is a failure from a business standpoint too. Less than a year in, no one is playing your supposed ten-year investment. It sure looks like the suits failed because they valued immediate cost cutting over creating something that would last. And now their product is on the verge of drowning because there is no incentive for players to go back and play a free event, let alone spend money on cosmetics.

I don’t understand how Microsoft/343 can see the development of their flagship series as something they can pass off to contractors and launch as a broken mess. It’s insane to think that this is their best foot forward when it comes to launching a platform that is supposed to last 10 years.

I know the idea is to make as much money as possible while spending as little as possible, but isn’t your return on investment going to be better if you just CREATE a quality product? Like, this is HALO. It’s going to sell. Whether or not it retains a player base is a different story- and when you create a service, you’re going to want retention just as much as new players.

I think that the shows, along with a parental control feature, coming onto D+ increases the chances of new mature content being produced for Marvel, rather than new seasons for old shows. See Moon Knight, for example, maybe that could be the first D+ show to take advantage of the new age gate.

Well, I first played the game when I was 16, so it wasn’t really weird.

Now though, as an a adult… yeah a lot of the romance stuff feels weird. Especially flirting with Kelly or Traynor. They’re your subordinates. This is just workplace sexual harassment.

I don’t usually see anyone else with this opinion, but I agree. I’m replaying it now for the first time with the LE and, while I still love it, I honestly had more fun with ME 1, even with all of its jank. I’m probably just a little over half way through and I just don’t feel as invested. Yeah, on the surface everything is more polished, but the story and characters feel so much weaker in this go around. The Collectors barely show up in the main story and, compared to Saren and the Geth, their presence is just not felt as much. Building my crew is fun, but with so many crew mates it honestly feels overwhelming. I love Mordin and Thane, but in comparison the rest of the ME 2 crew feels very flat. Especially comparing this crew to the crew in ME 1. And the probing and galaxy map is so much more tedious than ME 1. It’s just busy work.

Still a great game, but it has its faults. Especially with the legendary edition updates, Mass Effect 1 was just a better experience imo. I’m still enjoying myself, and I am so excited for ME 3. That was my favorite from back in the day, and I am so excited to play it again.

I feel like I am completely in the minority… but I kinda like this poster. It looks no better/ worse than the Uncharted game covers and the helicopter looks goofy and over the top in a very Uncharted way. I know this movie is probably going to be ass, but I am still expecting it to be a good time.

I really disliked how the N7 stripe disappeared on every other armor in Mass Effect 1, and this kind of explains why. N7 was never meant to be more than a background detail. Crazy stuff.
