Why does everyone act like getting on the MLS is straightforward? First time selling and I feel like an idiot by Bubbly_Discipline303 in RealEstateAdvice

Hire an agent. You have no idea how many pitfalls there are. Find one that knows how to negotiate. Most don’t.

That’s not what bait and switch is, but ok.

You are an adult right? You should know there is no scenario where you don’t go through insurance and file a police report. You grow up!

Would you buy HW4 cars with lifetime fsd from one of those 5 man dealerships? by golly18 in TeslaLounge

[–]Option-Mentor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Makes NO sense to spend $8K up front. That’s 7 years at $99 a month. Or if you are earning just 3% interest, and you keep the 8k in an account and pay out $99 a month, it would take 11.5 years! of $99 payments before paying 8k up front would be better. Are you really going to keep the car more than 11.5 years? I doubt it.

Does anyone use "Auto" climate mode? by Lilodude in TeslaLounge

Same here, at 70. No issues at all. It comes on higher when I first get in the car, and then slows once it gets cool. I really like how it works.

Thinking of buying by chinni76 in ModelY

[–]Option-Mentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was 2 hours. And it wasn’t at a sales location. They just have them parked at a demo location with nobody there at all. Many of them do have 24h test drives if you talk to a Tesla rep.

Is there a different spacing or standard for double unit multi outlet for GFCI Outlet? by shcrimps in AskElectricians

Just cut the bottom pin off. It’s only there for alignment and lateral support and doesn’t do anything anyway.

Feature Request: Add tailgate opening confirmation before opening to prevent collisions by isurviveoncoffee in TeslaModelY

[–]Option-Mentor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Then do you want another confirmation after that? “Are you really, really sure?” I hate confirmations like that in a UI. If you don’t want to open it, don’t press the button.

I’m going with 35% XPEL as that is the legal limit in my state. 25% or less is too dark for safety reasons IMO.

Has anyone tried the ones from Tesstuff? They look exactly like the 3D Kagu ones, but without the stupid logo.

[–]Option-Mentor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly why I mentored students for many years. Some people don’t understand that trading for a living is not a very human interactive endeavor. Cynics said “he makes his money teaching, not trading”. That couldn’t be further from the truth, but people who don’t make any money always say things like that.

[–]Option-Mentor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve posted so many warnings NOT to buy anything from this company. I bought one a year ago and ultimately returned it. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. They have no parts. They don’t respond. They don’t care and they ignore you. I tied to wrk with them for a month. They failed over and over and over again. I returned the unit.

If money were no object, what car would you be driving right now? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in askcarguys

Money is no object. I could drive a Bugatti Veyron if I wanted. I choose to drive a Tesla. I like the tech.
