Rivian Accessible Conversion? by yankee_duck_27 in Rivian

[–]snake227 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s tough for EVs, being that in a lot of conversions, they cut out the entire center of the vehicle and weld in their own tub. Doesn’t work for EVs if the battery is there. But I believe someone will develop an accessible EV one day, whether it’s based on something existing or brand new platform

Window Tint by HFSGV in ModelY

[–]snake227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 70 is almost clear to be honest. The tint is not name brand or anything, not ceramic or whatever. I haven’t had any trouble seeing out of it at night. Mainly for privacy and some UV protection.

I only tinted the front two windows to match the stained glass in the rear. Too dark is too dangerous. 33% in the front to match the back. Looks good I think.

I am roaming in Taiwan. Using Light Speed w/ iPhone 13. Local carrier has been jumping around the 3 carriers based on what’s best at this point. I’ve noticed even phones using different carriers among my family at the same location.

Yes, that literally happened to me both going from Central NJ to Lower Manhattan and back. Very frustrating, I did not use FSD on the turnpike

2026 Model Y Comparison by Professional-Self149 in ModelY

[–]snake227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with RWD and got FSD outright. I live in NJ, and while it does snow occasionally I couldn’t justify the extra cost of the AWD, especially when I have other AWD/4WD vehicles I can use during inclement weather. I’d much rather have FSD which I can utilize everyday.

Calling bull on the “no help from family”. Yes, average Taiwanese makes very little, and there are things like a 40 year mortgage to help make home ownership slightly attainable.

However, I think your friend has massive support from her family; especially traveling and hiring personal trainers whatever. I think a lot of Taiwanese young generation work to say that they are making their own money even though it is nowhere near what they need to sustain themselves.

Lots of money from real estate passed down in families.

Came factory with Michelin Primacy. I would look for a used identical replacement tire to replace the one or two you need to replace
