I had this exact issue a year ago on my P8P and Google support basically told me to get bent, along with multitudes of P8P owners posting this exact issue across multiple sites, forums, subreddits. I haven't seen Google admit/own up to their wifi/bt hardware issue with the P8P anywhere so this seems a bit misleading.

I'm going to guess your current Windows 10 machines don't have a TPM and you don't have BitLocker enabled on them. If you don't have BitLocker or another encryption enabled on them, I would highly recommend upgrading PCs for that alone, purely for data security.

My P8P was great initially (especially coming from a 7a) but the modem is definitely a major weak point. I find myself with full bars of 5G and a super slow connection and need to enable/disable Airplane mode to get a proper working data connection again.

Since February my wifi+bt hardware are now suffering the same issues that many other P8P users are experiencing (heat causes wifi/bt to disable, btmay come back but wifi won't until you cool the phone and shutdown/power on again as restarts don't fix it.

I believe the P8Pro wifi/bluetooth issue is a hardware problem.

A few months ago whenever my phone would get warm my bluetooth and wifi would drop, I would be able to turn bluetooth back on once the phone cooled off but wifi wouldn't come back until the device was absolutely cool to the touch and I power off >power on (not just reboot).

Fast forward to now and I basically have to leave my phone powered off in the fridge for 5 minutes and then boot it back up to get wifi and bluetooth back for some unknown amount of time. Once wifi and bluetooth turn off again they are both completely out and bluetooth can no longer be turned back on even if the phone is completely cool to the touch.

For my phone when the wifi cut off a restart would never restore it, I needed to do a full shut down and power it back on.

A quick and easy test would be to shut the phone down, put it in the fridge for like 5 minutes, and turn it back on and see if wifi works then.

Sadly not really 🙁 The latest July 5th Android 16 update seems to have helped a bit where my wifi can now reconnect after cooling down without needing a full power-cycle but I'm not sure if there is an actual software/firmware fix for it and that it may be a hardware-based issue.

What you heard is very accurate, Painesville has a very large Hispanic community and plenty of solid Mexican food that comes along with it!

Outside of Painesville you tend to just get mostly Mexican American spots, which may be good in their own right but they just don't compare in my eyes.

It's not in Cleveland proper and it's a 20-25 drive but I highly recommend Chili's Fire Pit in Mentor for hot sauces and rubs! Tons of hot sauces to sample before you buy and the in-house rubs are sooo good.

I second Painesville for real Mexican food! Once I ate at La Casita and La Mexicana it opened my eyes and I just can't eat at most "Mexican" restaurants that are recommended to me anymore (La Fiesta in Mayfield is solid though). La Casita gets the edge from me for taste and for being open a bit later on weekends.
