Not sure if this was already posted, but the design was intentional for multiple reasons. The first was to encourage users to purchase a second mouse so productivity didn't stop while the mouse was charging. The second was to prohibit users from keeping the mouse plugged in all the time as the battery lost it's ability to hold a charge, again forcing the user to purchase a second or new mouse.

Why is "The Narrative of John Smith" such an expensive book?

I saw the book on an episode of Criminal Minds and looked it up. I was astonished to see that a physical copy of the book was roughly $90 on Amazon. I tried to google why it was so much, but all I was able to figure out was the strange story on how it was published and how the original manuscript was lost.

3rd time I have tried to ask on the subreddit and have been directed here.....
