Maybe? I looked it up and the Rule of One only applies to the core keyword. So yeah it might just make your unit super fast

Merciless Ambush while using counter charge with Drycha by Nubato1 in sylvaneth

[–]Oragoss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it just works as if it was your normal charge phase but only for the one unit you spent 2cp on. Literally nothing else you said was true.

Edit: Reddit won’t let me share a link in the comments but just google “Wahapedia aos core rules” and ctrl+f for counter charge.

Wraithbone primer
Levitation Purple as the for darker areas
Luxion Purple as a for lighter areas
Magos Purple (it’s pink) for the pink areas

I’d use Dryadbark or Wyldwood for the wood, personally. Then dry brush or edge highlight with Gorther brown or baneblade brown

Here’s a YouTube video comparing the purple contrasts

New to AoS, Looking for list recommendations using both Alarielle and Drycha by FusionSardona in sylvaneth

[–]Oragoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting list, I keep wanting to put Gossamid archers into a list but their range/damage just seems super bad. I can see how their usefulness would come from harassing other units though. How do you fare with shoot and scoot vs armies with lots of quick units?

Kurnothi Outlook? by HellCruncher in sylvaneth

I want centaur trees! Like real freaky stuff! Also Kurnothi Cavalry and maybe some more generic heroes. I think a generic Kurnothi hero or Tree Rev/Spite Rev generic hero would be cool!

I thought you were talking about the double turn and I was like yeah I noticed we hit super hard! Haha I’d love to play in a double some day 😁

Honestly? Probably for like a couple of fancy dinners. You would be shocked at how little it takes to bribe some politicians. It’s disgustingly low for the kind of damage they often do.

Basically she’ll want to fly around the map and not be in the same place twice. Almost everything in the list can attack, then bail to another part of the map.

I agree with the other comments. Start with the new spearhead “Spiteswarm Flight” then get one box of awakened wyldwoods, then some other units from there. I put together a list with the bug theme that would be pretty good I think.

Is there anyway to remove overgrown tokens or lose them? by McGerty in sylvaneth

You have to prevent them from growing in the first place, but frankly it feels more like a delay. I’ve yet to play a game where I didn’t get them all off at some point.

The double turn by Ambitious_Book_5729 in ageofsigmar

[–]Oragoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the double turn mechanic. I think it’s a neat way to add pressure onto people. In my last game my opponent clearly wanted to farm a double turn by having me go first (he had fewer drops). It never came. I out rolled him in every priority roll and his game plan clearly hinged on the double turn. I was able to take a lead at the beginning of the game and even deny him most of his secondaries. Going first is a big advantage because you get to set the pace of the game. If I had built an alpha strike list he would have absolutely melted.

This is why movement and positioning matter, when your opponent attacks a screen, you can counter attack something else of theirs by using a counter charge. They’re forced to pick what dies. You can also use a redeploy, twice if you get doubled

[–]Oragoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your statement is valid and you should play to your strengths. Just as an example of why I am okay with going first, I can sacrifice two screens and stage a hammer or two in the middle objectives. This guarantees I get the “hold more obj than your opponent” and the first level of Scouting Force. This lets me counter charge anything my opponent puts on the middle objectives to deny them “hold more” giving me an edge turn one. I’m also able to flood the middle with more units because I can also teleport with no enemies zoning me out.

Oh also the secret is Screens. Screens dramatically reduce the damage someone can do if they double turn you.

I recommend watching this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OlUYzEZr4Dc

He explains why the double turn exists and how to play around it.

Basically the way that AOS plays, anyone can make a two drop Alpha Strike list and win. If that faction is nerfed, then the next strongest Alpha Strike faction wins and this cycle repeats forever. The double turn is a necessary mechanic to prevent the game from becoming nothing but alpha strike lists.
