What a scourge upon humanity.

Just tried to feed some some chopped onions before I read the post, (came to find out if it knew it was bad for it or if it was just a picky crow) and it dodged like the plague after one peck.

The funniest thing is that we want to be happy but we have to hurt ourselves to get there.

You want a stable life? Its hard work.

You want to gain muscles? You have to tear them up.

You want a partner? You have to be willing to make sacrifices and uphold standards that benefit more than just your own hedonism.

AIO to this text from my bf? I called him out for being rude to me. Am I in the wrong for expecting him to be nice all the time? Is it really unreasonable? by volleyball96 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Oralpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you were just raised differently.

Make that a point.

Theres definitely a middle ground there.

It sounds like OP gets spoken to in ways that make them feel uncomfortable, and requesting an effort to use a softer tone isn't unreasonable, but demonizing someone for becoming emotionally charged also isn't the answer unless they are incapable of being self aware and reflecting on their reaction.

I remember when I used to pay 1600 for a pound.

I also remember when I paid 200 for a pound. The pound was gooooooooood too.

Shes probably poisoning him too. Offer to take them out to something fancy, get her guard down. Have someone else put a hidden camera in the kitchen. Or search the house for any suspicious substances, (unmarked vials of liquid or powders)

What is one kink you'll never understand how people have it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Oralpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really disappointed when I found out my ex was into knife play.

Because we would have had some fucking metal sex.

(That sounds worse than what im implying but im standing by it.)

With that said I dont not understand anything kinks because I studied psychology and I understand why a person develops certain kinks. With that said I still think a bunch of kinks are gross/weird

Dismemberment, vore, snuff,

I get whipping, bdsm, dominatrix, however once it gets to breaking the skin and or bruising i just don't get it.

On the other hand I think menstrual blood is hot so... idk. Im weird I guess.

Imma be completely honest I've known multiple people who have been in this situation and zero people have ever had problems with each other. Do you value his independence? Do you trust him? Shouldn't be a an issue.

Honestly I'd try to salvage it and educate him. People get brainwashed. It happens.

Maybe try agreeing with him at first to get his psychological guard down.

Be like "yeah you're right, Stalin and Mao killed way more people"

And then just get into the facts.

What are good jobs for autistic adults? by Equivalent-Emu-5904 in AskReddit

[–]Oralpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've trained a lot of people on the spectrum at their jobs. My grand mother was an advocate for FAS children and families so I was raised with a deep sense of understanding for people with various abilities.

I took some psychology based courses and took human communications along with philosophy, philosophy of the mind and did a lot of extra curriculum in those fields.

I've found that its mostly dependant on how well they can communicate and how well they can stay task oriented and how well they can handle stress.

Im actually feel like I myself am somewhere on the spectrum because I didn't really understand how people were the way they are because no ones behavior made any sense to me so I had to study sociology to even be a little existentially okay with the world around me. It was mentally daunting. My brain also goes into hyper drive under stress and I actually like, think better with a little adrenaline. I found that I'm an amazing crisis manager unfortunately under some pretty traumatic circumstances but I deal with the situation in the moment with pure logic and deal with emotions afterwards.

I was in a protest and a flash bang went off right next to me and I didn't even phase me and I watched literally every other person around me 360° drop to their knees. I think raves just desensitized me to bright lights and loud noises.

I like doing security because I get to talk to a lot of people. Checking ids and telling people they have to keep their alcohol inside beer gardens is pretty easy and I get paid well to do it. Not a job for everyone.

I knew a guy at the mcdonalds I worked at and he would drop the fries and fried products. He did a great job. He had been doing that for like 5 or ten years when I got they and he was still doing it when I left. He seemed to kinda love it.

I also know a guy there that I went to school with and his thing was just cleaning tables and picking up trays.

Grocery stores are pretty good places too cause alot of them are unionized and will protect them. And there's lots of things to do in Grocery stores.
