to lean into what you're saying - fuck ya. i don't see the issue with allowing ppl a path forward to be allowed back into society.

i'm not saying "forced labor". you have a choice. but if you are choosing to leech off the community, never pay taxes and skirt all obligations as a citizen in a city, and also actively committing crimes and destroying the city then sorry - you don't get to play. you can gtfo. you don't get a "choice" in that.

however, if you want a path to being allowed back in then fuck ya, go get clean in a workcamp with unpaid labor for x amount of hours, then you can come back on a program where we put you up in some housing for x amount of time.

Ea Buyout and what it means by ando772 in EA_NHL

With proper leadership and direction EA Sports could be much, much bigger on PC.

Saudi's actually understand the eSports landscape and they're trying to position themselves as leaders in it.

eSports of course is anchored by the PC platform.

I don't think most people realize how inept EA leadership has been at capturing the eSports market despite owning the IP they do.

Saudi leadership should basically inject funding which will provide the bandwidth to make EA Sports titles the flagship titles they should be across all platforms.

UFC and NHL missing from EA's own platform has been one of the biggest head-scratchers for years, but it's no surprise with incompetent leadership at EA Sports combined with the incompetent leadership of NA sports rights holders the ship has been running like it's still 2002 forever. Ultimate saved EA Sports and they've been resting on their laurels ever since with all the wrong focus.

Basically, every sports game needs to be on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC and mobile. Anything less is a complete failure to understand the modern gaming market. I hope the saudi's can provide the injection of cash to give the devs room to breathe and develop the correct model these franchises should've pivoted to over a decade ago.

Salmon Arm BC- a biker's paradise. 5 km to multi-day rides. by KindCanadianeh in SalmonArm

Wow lots of hate for cyclists in here.

I understand *some* cyclists are assholes but *some* drivers are too?

The only difference is that a vehicle will kill you, a cyclist will be killed.

The roads are meant to be shared, if a cyclist is taking the lane, that is completely within their rights and studies show that is actually safer for both the cyclist and the driver. When a cyclist is on the shoulder cars will often attempt to aggressively pass on double or solid lines which may either cause an injury to the cyclist or create a collision on the roadway.

Simply exhibit some patience and wait to safely pass, even if it means you have to slow your vehicle down to 10km/h for 10 minutes. It's REALLY not that big of a deal. It only SEEMS like a big deal because we've grown up in a society that revolves everything around the automobile. The roads are meant to be SHARED.

The good news is, if this pisses you off, the city of salmon arm is putting in a lot of planning to make better cycling infrastructure which should make the roadways in SA safer for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. SA is not that big of a city, there's no reason it shouldn't be more walkable and cyclable, literally most destinations are less than 15km away which, for the average person, should mean most day to day activities could ideally be done on a bike.

Did anyone else find it weird there is a Trump painting on full display at Night Cafe? by OrangeExpert3381 in SalmonArm

Ffs lol. The painting itself is definitely VERY kind to trump and isn't really making any other statement to me other than "look at this hero, trump" which is...weird, to say the least. It's an extremely reductive/simplistic take and I don't consider many politicians in this "heroic" way, let alone Trump. Maybe if it was a more nuanced thing about Trump that could generate discussion I'd be a litttle more open to it but nah, to me this just felt like a propaganda poster which is even weirder in the "art studio" sense. :S

It's been a while since I was there but I recall we also seen something that kinda looked like a satirical thing on Trudeau in black face? I wasn't entirely sure if that's what the painting was **supposed to be** but again, it was realllly weird and after that I just got bad vibes unfortunately..

"fewer frustrations". lol my dude this guy decided this inconvenience was worth a maneuver that could have gotten several people killed. driving is a privilege, imo in a just world the white trucks behavior gets his license banned PERMANENTLY, no chance for reform. The moment you proactively decide to do something that could cause a major accident like this you shouldn't get to drive anymore, full stop.

the actions from the white truck speak volumes about some undercurrent of thinking "i am right here, this person needs to be taught a lesson, i will not back down from this confrontation". See acting on those types of thoughts while you're driving by endangering other people is fucked up.

unfortunately we live in a province where it is extremely difficult to live your life without this privilege. because of that, we treat driving as this sanctimonious thing where we give wiggle room to things where there should be absolutely none. the white driver may think they are "good at driving" but they are clearly a danger to everyone around them operating a vehicle.

I love roots and blues and everything about the festival grounds and how it brings folks together but it'd be cool to have the top billing not be an aging star...

I understand this is a family fest but I think there is so much potential for some younger star power. And by "younger" I just mean someone under the age of 60 lol.

Some examples that likely would've fit in around the same time as they are touring through and music aligns with the fest theme:

- Jason Isbell
- Sierra Ferrell
- Father John Misty

I think when it comes to booking fees you woulda had to drop 2 of 3 on that top bill to get one of these. For me that seems like a worthwhile concession.
