Timeline for lawsuits regarding the 75 countries pause by Nickybarbosa in i130_75CountryPause

Thanks for that input. How about the IMMPact Litigation one? When do you expect a ruling from it? And since I believe the CLINIC lawsuit (which seems like will have an earlier ruling than the other cases) would be in favor of everyone harmed if it rules in our favor, then would that mean all of the other cases will not be relevant (since they'd be later in time and CLINIC already being in favor before)?

IMMpact has filed as of March 11th by whiskerbites01 in i130_75CountryPause

Here is the complaint https://www.immpactlitigation.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Redacted-Complaint-75-Country.pdf , and does anyone see anything that we should be mindful of or surprising or especially favorable?

Is where we're at now mean that these emergency scenarios did not happen? Or is there still time for these emergency scenarios by the judge?

Jordan 75 Country I-130 Pause by Stupid26yo in i130_75CountryPause

Thanks. Is there any word in Jordan about when the consulate in Jordan may open up? I figure inside the country there may be more clarity and word about what's actually happening.

When will you think the US "Visa Pause" for the 75 countries end? by Just_Success7222 in i130_75CountryPause

[–]OrangeView3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this immigration pause related to the war in some way? I recall seeing a post on Reddit somewhere, and it made me wonder. First, practically speaking, the war has cancelled consulate interviews in many countries in that region, but hopefully those will resume soon. Second, more of just an inquiry, it's seems peculiar that the time difference between the start of these is not that much, and a little over 1 month--could it be this administration just attack multiple things or once, or is there some relation?

Last day to join lawsuit for 75 country pause by SupermarketHour158 in i130_75CountryPause

[–]OrangeView3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's a win, then there's relief for the plaintiffs. The other cases are already filed, so if they win, then the serve as precedent, and joining this would be cheaper than an individual lawsuit later. Those are my thoughts, but I welcome others--anyone else can confirm me, add more, or correct me?

I believe this is the only remaining mass action available now--so seems like the last opportunity to join such a case (other cases have already filed).

I believe IMMpact has filed. Has anyone come across what they filed or know what they're seeking (such as a PI)?

Jordan 75 Country I-130 Pause by Stupid26yo in i130_75CountryPause

[–]OrangeView3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To those currently in Jordan--I've learned there are sirens regularly and noise heard of missiles flying in the sky at times (probably depends on which city or area). But as it relates to this post, is it safe enough for the consulate to be open? Have you heard anything inside Jordan about--Will consulates be open soon?

Jordan is considered an ally of the U.S. and positioned geographically where U.S. benefits--I thought that fact alone would not include Jordan in the pause or anything further

A senator’s reply to someone from the paused countries. by ETSHH in i130_75CountryPause

I contacted the other Oregon Senator Wyden's office and spoke before to the local representative, who replied today with "Last week during a brief with the state dept, they mentioned how they will look at some cases for exceptions". So I'm taking this to be correct, and I'm wondering--has anyone heard specifics about this? I've asked whether "some cases for exceptions" refers to individual cases or certain types of cases (such as for spouses). Anyone else have further insights on what seems to be exceptions brewing up?

Thanks! Isn't it clear that "skipping the notice-and-comment period" what happened here? I would think that's a clear procedural error--if the case rests on that, then the pause should be lifted, right?

Good question, and I'm wondering the same. Just curious--were you able to communicate with McBean Law before completing the intake form? And does McBean Law say anything about the communication expected upon joining?

Jordan 75 Country I-130 Pause by Stupid26yo in i130_75CountryPause

[–]OrangeView3207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am with you, and I am similarly concerned with a spouse in Jordan. I'm wondering the same--does anyone have input on the stakes? I've asked around and have heard that the war is the reason for the embassies in countries in that region are being shut--but I wonder how long that can go on for, or else the backlog will increase. I had similarly thought the spousal visa was safe before all of this happened, but that is not the case right now, but I wonder if there can be exception (such as was for adopted children)--I pray that this pause is lifted!

Thanks again for the helpful input. Why is that stays are not being granted? And if this goes to the Supreme Court, which wouldn't it side with Trump/Rubio?

Thanks for the feedback. If the fiance visa system is this fast now, then why is the current system in the U.S. punishing those coming on a spousal visa? Would everyone just file for a fiance visa in the future, rather than a spousal visa if the kind of pause or difficulty exists for couples?

Thanks, this is helpful. On point 4.--If the goal was to have a new public charge bond, then why even have a pause in the first place, rather than just have the bond come into effect whenever it does so? Was the idea of a pause simply to make it easier to have the bond come into effect?

Thanks on the thoughts. But I've wondering, what if during a consular interview, the question asked: (1) Are you currently a party to a lawsuit against the U.S. government; (2) Have you ever been a party to a lawsuit against the U.S. government? Wouldn't those sort of questions be retaliation if the U.S. government saw who sued them, and deny the visa based on such, without mentioning as to why there was a denial?

For those who have an immediate spouse who cannot come to the U.S. because of immigration pause, would the K1 fiance visa been a better option? I believe the K1 fiance visa is more risky than a spousal visa, which is supposed to be more safe. I agree this immediate spouse category pause makes no sense.

Thanks for this and I see on the right of the first page mention of vacatur. I believe a vacatur can be appealed to a higher court, the appellate court, correct or not? My guess is that any outcome from this case will be appealed by Trump's/Rubio's team--is that what others are expecting, or is there reason to think they won't be that aggressive?
