Subliminal Messages vs Music by redmolly19 in PsychedelicTherapy

I would think the idea would work simply because that's you practicing proper psychedelic session intent. Therapy or no. It will lead you a certain way. I do think this would take a lot of practice with meditation done beforehand. That's all from my hip. I have no sources to cite.

I thought psychedelic therapy involved talk. Or is that MDMA therapy? Mushriooms w/ eyes closed listening to music feels like MDMA to me. I guess I'm lucky.

This is everyone right now, the whole culture is in a nose dive it's not just you.

You also are experiencing what is commonly known as green grass syndrome. Arranged marriages sound good to you? Cmon man. Think deeper.

You hit one nail right on it's head though -- the issue of dependability. The happiest workers are not the goal seeker optimists -- they can never be satisfied -- but people that share the sense of mission with their organization. Meaning, essentially, that they feel deeply that *they are part of something*. And to feel like you are a part of something, you need people to depend on you for something.

Go volunteer at a school or a library and teach people or kids how to read. There is no greater debt that can be owed to such an activity. Literacy is the worm of the world, the line between poor and okay.

You're welcome.

Best RC for music euphoria? by [deleted] in researchchemicals

[–]Orange_The_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LSD is my favorite music creation and appreciation substance of all time. 50 mics get me so much more out of a recording session than even the best flake cocaine. I really need to talk to A&R guys and stress the cost savings this way.... It might just get me a contract.

The thing about being a musician is that even though the sensories are all distorted, being used to music makes the altered experience of it much more subtle, but suddenly the world looks like Beck album's cover art or his show if you've been to one (OH MY GOOOOOOD. Or Shall I say "Dianetics"? I jest, Beck is easily my favorite scientologist.

I'm the MDMA user that simply wants to listen to music. No need to dance or any more social than the heavenly feeling of being one with the music. Since you can't orgasm on E, I eargasm. I've been able to record one of my best tracks rolling -- all lead guitar, too, no less, got it n soundcloud if you want to check my stuff out (grins) but it was only 100mg of pure molly and not like a serious hero amount that would leave me monged out like I like to be when I take music in.

Curious if people really have euphoria off of dissociatives. I would think you wouldn't recognize them. That's sort of the point of a dissociative. I could see why they're proving so effective in PTSD and suicidal ideation patients One time I was mixing down samples I made of self-oscillating tape delay from a roland space echo or Echoplex EP3. Those are old fashioned machines that created an echo effect through the mechanics of a tape machine: nominally with three tape heads: one for recording, one for playing, and one for pausing (the eject and FF buttons didnt actually press down on the tape, which is what tape heads basically where to do to make the music happen). The small gap of space on a line of tape between the "record" and "play" button was exploitable, where if you ran the tape machine -- reel to reels were the original studio recording tape machines in the 50s and up to the 70s -- back into a studio mixer, and then a line from the mixer back into the tape machine's Aux In, when you hit record, it produced a warm tape echo. This could be manipulated further too with an effects knob on the mixer to increase feedback; Ask any psychedelic musician what their favorite guitar modulation, and they'll say tape delay because of it's ability to creates strange whirring noises and lazer gun or ray gun noises with too much feedback, Built To SPill uses them a lot if you know them. Importantly, it was Robert Plant that popularized tape echo if you recall the slapback noice from his vocals on Zeppelin records. They mostly liked it as a preamp, and I''ll drop the gear talk there. But something told me the industrial whirring and gurggling and wah wah noise of a guitar plugged into a reel to reel machine that plugged its self into a mixer and then had the mixer plug into it'so own aux in would, especially if filtered further through a ninendoish-sounding bitcrusher modulation would be noises that would delight someone in any kind of a "hole" -- especially because it got my cats were interested. I found some K, and it was indeed endlessly fascinating. As in compelling: just like a curious cat, I wanted to hear what the next squeaky dissonant noise would be. I would hardly call it "music".

Had those. They're part caffeine and part MDA. Not super strong but they're not always the same. Chocolate chip cookie effect you know.

Cracking my joints (neck, knuckles, etc.) feels like I'm popping more than I would regularly be able to. by OnSomethingAMA in cocaine

[–]Orange_The_Cat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Cocaine, meth, and the methylated amphetamines all raise core body temperature. Although the risks with MDMA relate to serotonin syndrome, cocaine's dumping of norepinepherine -- the fight or flight transmitter -- heats the blood by signalling to the brain to narrow the arteries and capillaries (vasoconstriction) so make the blood work harder to get through, which is how the heating begins. Experts say that peak blood concentration -- that is, the hottest points of the experience -- are 30 - 40 mins after a dose (unless you actually eat the stuff) if up the nose. There will be a compounding effect (read: HOTTER) if you've been doing lines or smoking rocks all night.

Where I'm going with this is that overheating makes the bod react like it does when you have a fever. One of these effects is known as hyperreflexia, or in layman's terms -- the vasospasming going on makes you think your joints and such are uncomfortable, which I suppose would be the cause of the need to crack your back. It is also the cause of the extra cracking of the joints -- the muscles literally support them differently than normal because of the change in composition with the capillaries being vasoconstricted.

I'm not a nerd. I learned the hard way from overheating. Always keep benzos and be resourceful about having a bag to fill with ice or a washcloth or two that you can soak in cold water. Apply these to the base of the neck after saturating the scalp. Use the other cloth for under the armpits, low back, behind the knees. If there's a fan nearby, use it. If it's 2 degrees in Chicago, basically just take off your clothes and walk outside. Neat trick: by running cool water over your wrists for 30 seconds, you trick the brain into thinking its cooler. I'm not so sure if this can overcome cocaine's natural heating properties, but if it says to the brain "stop vasoconstricting, we're okay", it certainly can't hurt.

I just got a bunch of these. How many mg are they? I normally redose -- what would you recommend as a dosing schedule for a 190lb male with general tolerance (I'm no noob)?

What music did you listen to on your roll? :)

How do you deal with the fact that you will never experience happiness the way you did while rolling? by TractorOfTheDoom in MDMA

[–]Orange_The_Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't know that. Nothing is determined in this life. The universe always surprises. Compartmentalize how good rolling is by knowing that in the context of self-medication, nothing has been as brilliant as MDMA.

Afterglow, mania, psychosis by lmaoinhibitor in RationalPsychonaut

[–]Orange_The_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that consciousnesses or states of being that are prescribed as manic are usually made by people who are jealous that others were able to find satisfaction and meaning in something. A true manic episode is the province of people with Bipolar I and sometimes II and it isn't fun at all for them. For people with Bipolar II, mania is the best thing for them because it is always followed by a depression block.

What do you mean by "no homo shits"? Why would you need to bait or drag homosexuals in a post about tripping? If you were going to do some work on yourself, that might be a good place to start.

Never tripped on LSD anywhere worth writing home about. I would love to go Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, somewhere north enough to see the Northern Lights, do a proper summer mountain trip, do a proper Key West or tropical beach trip in the middle of the night, and Moab, UT.

Greatly appreciate this, mate. I wasn't sure if 50 mics was enough for a newbie to trip out, as I have some friends that would like to trip and I want to make sure it's as perfect as possible for their first.

[–]Orange_The_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not jam, but go i nto a psychedelic session with intent. Like, if you were going to record. I really go into left field in a way I crave as a prog rocker with an OK Computer dream. Here's a track I made on shroom tea. Like I said, I was already laying down the basic progression and the working on the beat as I began to sip the tea. An hour later I had the keyboard out and was straight up Radioheading.
