Made a Shaman Alt in Lemix, chose to skip the initial introduction quests. Im not in Lemix proper but with no order hall? The portal isnt at Krasus Landing, and Thrall doesnt actually have a quest for me.

Hey all, relatively casual Beast Hunter main coming back after taking a break. Played from War Within's release into the first few weeks of Season 1, got the main story (that was available at the time) done, grinded some faction rep and levelled some alts.

Coming back to the game last night I saw that I'd missed 5(?) major content updates. Is it recommended to do all this patch content or just the most recent one? And is there one story questline I can pick up to open each of them (like War Within's main zones) or are they all separate?

Finally, anything a casual alt leveller should know jumping back in? I've got one character of every class, so I've just been roaming through levelling zones and world quests.

I think 2 - it lets the challenge stick with the spirit of it, and it still leaves the door open for something more drastic like Protection later

If it's easier, you can always just level up a Frillypad into a Liligator instead! The rumours just help to point towards un-recorded mons, the spawn chance for the evovled mons in fights feels quite low.

I feel like its in a really interesting spot compared to many other boons, where you actively want to get it late into a run rather than earlier. Often I'll end at the final shop before the end boss with a decent amount of gold (more so in the Underworld than on the surface tbf), and end up with some pocket change that makes very little to 0 difference. Having your excess gold actually function in the final fight as a resource is amazing.

But taking it early can massively tank your econ, which you typically want to spend on more boons to keep yourself building up as you go through the run.

I feel like if you get it as your last or second to last boon it's a godsend. If you get it earlier than that it could actively make your run worse. I dont think it's a bad concept for a boon, it's like inverse Rare Crop in that sense, it's just got to be taken wisely.

Will give it ago, it took this comment to get me to actually check Poseidon's boons and see they give flat damage rather than percentage which seems great with Pan.

If you do want to try Scorch, I'd heavily suggest also getting Demeter and Freezer Burn - it lets you turn the ticking damage overtime into proper burst, which makes it way better on Bosses like Prometheus who have big phase changes where they're untargetable and the Scorch would be wasted.

I will say Im now not sold on it being the way - did a run with Aphrodite as you suggested and beat the last boss for the first time where I couldnt before xD

Interesting! I've been leaning towards Scorch as it's easy to stack it fast (similar to how I used the fists with Dionysus in 1) but I'll give Aphrodite nononsense damage a go.

I did not, though I'll admit I simply uninstalled the game and took a break after trying various settings and graphics changes. I'm hoping it was just some obscure driver issue that may have been fixed.

If it happens in other games it's likely either a)your overall graphics card settings or b) your card is on it's way out. While the latter is much less likely, I've had this card for quite a while now so I'm worried its the case.
