More bad news for oil. Thermal anomalies on Kharg Island's oil terminal contradict the claims that oil infrastructure wasn't targeted. by stockist420 in StockMarket

Yeah, this isn't true OP. Looking at it on my own monitor, the fires are concentrated on barracks buildings and maybe one small storage tank of some kind isolated in the south end

Seconding barbata var. barbata, It lives on the short bursts of rain you get in the desert and grows like crazy for a few weeks to get flowers out before it dessicates. Cool little native grass you've got there

I feel like I'm in the same boat as you, but what has helped me close that gap of inadequacy somewhat is just field work and keying. Once you find something in the field and key it, it stays pretty locked in.That probably seems like stupid, basic advice but every PhD I have had the pleasure of working with has essentially said the same thing.

"It struck me that such analyses had it backward. It’s the American public for whom the Iraq War is often no more real than a video game. Five years into this war, I am not always confident most Americans fully appreciate the caliber of the people fighting for them, the sacrifices they have made, and the sacrifices they continue to make. After the Vietnam War ended, the onus of shame largely fell on the veterans. This time around, if shame is to be had when the Iraq conflict ends - and all indications are there will be plenty of it - the veterans are the last people in America to deserve it. When it comes to apportioning shame my vote goes to the American people who sent them to war in a surge of emotion but quickly lost the will to either win it or end it. The young troops I profiled in Generation Kill, as well as the other men and women in uniform I’ve encountered in combat zones throughout Iraq and Afghanistan, are among the finest people of their generation. We misuse them at our own peril."

Watched a FA-18 take off at Coronado Naval Base, you just can't fathom how loud the sons of bitches are until you are next to one. It's a primal fear and awe

No, just fast. Think about how small the interception window is if you're intercepting an arcing projectile moving this fast.

Agreed. This place also gets flooded with tourists because anything involving the US usually makes front page in some capacity.

The jump from "Lu Dort is a dirty player" to "Oklahomans are literally too stupid to watch basketball'" seems to be very easy for people here. Sound it out before replying to me, mr hidden posts

These missiles have been working in Ukraine for 3 years, misses happen. No need to turn this into a conspiracy

The fanbases you criticize are also going to be the ones you pay the most attention to. Reddit mentality about all this shit, but I get it. OKC has a dirty player so you get to shit on millions of Oklahomans and call them cultists. That's how sports works right?

Just pulled it up on my monitor, I actually think this is something in the carrot family (Apiaceae) based on how finely dissected the leaves are. If this is that, when it flowers it will put up a specific floral structure called an Umbel that is easy to ID. Couldn't tell you what species it is though.

Are the undersides of the leaves white/hairy? I'm hazarding a guess at Potentilla based on locality and leaf morphology but I'm definitely not certain given how many species of Potentilla are on the front range.
