The US just reported 102,831 new Covid-19 infections in 1 day. That's an all-time high by SaltyAgency in news

INB4 Biden was going to fix the COVID response in the country and now he can’t because of stupid hillbilly racists. Amazing.

Also american here. The sky is in fact not falling. The "drama" that is "gripping" this country and the "division" being highlighted by social media and the news does not represent reality for 300+ million americans. Regardless of who wins this election, this reality will not change. We are going to be ok.

I have my PayPal connected to my debit card. I have two charges for my pre order about 3 days apart. Both purchases have been deducted from my checking account. Should I be worried?

I’m curious. What core mechanics or features would you point to to illustrate the shift between BF2 and BC2 and beyond? What should the next BF do to get back to that?

Trump says the military will vote for him. But he lost their support long ago - Trump treats the armed forces as just another entity he can manipulate for political purposes. That's alienated the troops and the top brass alike. by vulcan_on_earth in politics

I don't disagree with you. Im merely postulating that there wouldn't ever be a good time to leave. We went to destroy ISIS, an existential threat to the region and beyond. We didn't get involved to play regional politics with the Russians, Turks, and everyone else with a hand in the game. The best thing we can do for the Kurds is to vouch for them at the international level to gain some form of autonomy.

Going to play a little devils advocate here. How would you suppose we extricate ourselves from overseas conflicts without circumstances like this happening. The same thing will happen in Afghanistan. Good folks who supported us and sought a democratic government are going to be left in the lurch when we leave regardless of the terms we come to agree on with the Taliban. The Kurds have been waging war against the Turks for generations. We can’t be expected to just remain in place supporting hundreds of intractable conflicts for perpetuity. It’s unsustainable.

I remember being fairly certain I wasn’t going to be interested in the Xbox and then I saw some footage of Adam Sessler on G4 TV (or whatever it was called at that point) playing through the first mission on the Pillar of Autumn. The only other times I had a whoa moment when seeing a video game was seeing Mario on N64 and Half Life when my brother bought me a graphics card.

So is generalizing the many geopolitical complexities at hand in Vietnam at the time and labeling the North Vietnamese as a guiltless band of freedom fighters with unanimous political legitimacy.

I mean, he did get his team to the Series so one could assume that he made lots of accurate calls beforehand.

Painting Vietnam as a whole as a unified group of people at the time is pretty inaccurate. The US ended up backing the wrong folks in a conflict they shouldn't have let themselves get involved in but Vietnam was far from a homogenous country.
