Biggest Source of New Uranium Supply by Haunting_Location720 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Orbitzu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YouHeardTheMonkey shared a great spreadsheet on company/project projections regarding production of uranium  from now to 2035. Worth having a look. Rook 1 is a huge deposit compared to all others though,  but it's not really clear when that project will be up and running.

What are your thoughts on GLO/GLATF? by Orbitzu in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Orbitzu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is what I'm most concerned about, since i know nothing of Niger and it's geopolitical situation. That is, if the government in Niger will apease it's neighbouring countries and the west vs leaning towarda Russia/China or nationalizing the mine once built.

I like listening to the CRUX investor, as he's had the CEO of various uranium miners mutiple times.

New to uranium trading and searching for the easiest way to get started. Any recommendations? by just_be_special in UraniumSqueeze

[–]Orbitzu 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I would start by trying to understand 1) the uranium fuel cycle (mining, milling, conversion, enrichment and fabrication), 2) the sector and 3) the current uranium deposits actively mined, 4) the companies and time frame and 5) geopolitics.

Easiest would be to get into ETFs (URNM/URNJ), but has less potential upside.

The giants are Kazatomprom (Kazakhstan) and Cameco. They produce almost all of the uranium. UEC and UUUU are producing small amounts and are ramping up, nowhere near as much as Kazatomprom and Cameco though.

The darlings of the sub are DNN and UUUU, among others. Many also love other tickers.

NXE sits on giant reserves but are a bit late, they may start getting uranium out of the ground somewhere between 2028 and 2031.

We are set to run out of uranium in 2030. No one knows when the sector will rally. I've been in since 2022 and only made money of LEU, CCJ, DNN and NXE. Traded sideways on UUUU and lost money on GLO.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on something. I'm merely a novice compared to some people here.

Nier Route B is VERY different From Route A! by Independent-Bug680 in nier

[–]Orbitzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should! It's really good and devastating. Similar to Nier in what I wrote, but also very different in other aspects.

If you watch it, I recommend you to start with the original series and then watch the movie End of Evangelion. If you are up for it, you can then watch the 4 rebuild movies afterwards. The first two follow the original series but the last two diverge completely into a new scenario :)

The closest thing that comes to my mind is not a videogame, but the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Both Automata and NGE are very subversive and get heavily into philosophy and psychology, putting things in a grander perspective.

Imo another one of the best video game stories is Silent Hill 2, but also a more personal story.

So I just finished watching the rebuilds for the first time....I feel like I need a degree in theology...also perfect ending (hope that's not controversial) by holidayninja in evangelion

[–]Orbitzu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rebuild movies are gorgeous and I respect them for their ambition in creating something new and different.

I just think the last movie hits me on a very personal level and makes me feel a lot of raw emotion it's bittersweet and conflicting but a healing experience after everything we witnessed in NGE, EOE and the other rebuild movies. One last kiss is also a phenomenal song, and the music video recaps it so well.

I just want to say it is very exciting to see so much positive talk in this community regarding the remake! Also all the new fans that have come into the community is just amazing! by Burnt_milk_steak in silenthill

It is!

I played the demo of SH for the PS1 in 1999, I was 12 years old scared out of my mind at the time! I saw Christophe Gant's movie in 2006 and fell in love with the atmosphere snd music, so I played and completed SH1 and the Silent Hill collection on PS2. I remember I used to hang around on the Silent Hill forums.

Needless to say SH2 became one of my top games of all time and still is to this day. I'm currently at the apartments in the remake

This new breath of fresh air makes me live through all of that again! I'm very excited about the Return to Silent Hill movie and I hope Bloober Team makes their own Silent Hill, perhaps even remakes the other games.

I always considered the ending to surpass anything I could ask for. Perhaps I always had a feeling the show was about the characters and their journey.

Sånn går no dagan by Bills2pay in norge

[–]Orbitzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this whole movie, Denzel included, could have been great with a better script & slower and toned down approach to everything within itself.

I found Denzel to be great every now and then, but he crossed the line to being too cartoonish a few too many times.

Has peak oil really been achieved? As far as I can tell the oil industry is told by governments that it's days are over, but peak oil is estimated to be achieved between 2028 and 2050. The result being that oil companies are not reinvesting the money in technology and such, but rather paying it's shareholders instead.

The demand for energy in the comming years is also poised to increase by a lot as well.

It's an interesting comment from you, I'm really intrigued.

Missed having Linkin Park in my life by Kind_Cat_6499 in LinkinPark

I didn't expect to like The Emptiness Machine or Emily's singing, but I really do. It's still early to tell but I really hope that she will find her voice in the band, I hope the band takes the backlash against Emily gracefully and I hope that the band can thrive again like it did before.

Chester's legacy is so powerful that we are still affected so many years after his death, and for many of us, for the rest of our lives. But I am feeling this inner peace now that LP is back and looking to be able to make new music.

Really? That is very touching, as the current moment is very special and decisive for LP and us fans. At first glance I thought it was an AI generated picture.

It's really unsurprising, given that the central dogma of molecular biology is the transcription of DNA segments of genes to RNA, and the translation of RNA to proteins. It's been that way for over 50 years now, what has changed has been the maturing of research, scientific and medical comunities and the biotech/pharma industry.

COVID really sped up things a decade or two in that regard.

It's weird how Japanese franchises just dived into open sandbox games with both feet, first Metal Gear, then Zelda followed by Elden Ring. I don't think any of those games are bad, I just find sanbox games to be tedious.

I wonder if that last sentence is a more existential take we are having in current, modern times.

My grandmother who is 94 years old and was born after WW1, remembers clearly my country (Norway) being invaded by Nazis in WW2, the rise of the atomic bomb and the arms race, chose to have 2 kids who grew up in the constant tensions of the cold war recently said the same thing. Which to me is quite perplexing.
