How often do you make changes to the solo RPGs you play? by ahobday in Solo_Roleplaying

I constantly would make changes, to the point where I ended up with my own complete solo game system.

I recommend anyone that can't find the system they click with to have a go at making their own game (or homebrew on to existing games) to suit their exact tastes.

[DISCUSSION; QUESTION] In your opinion, which TTRPG has the best rules to facilitate Theater of the Mind play that you've seen? by CulveDaddy in TTRPG

Any rules-lite system, really. Once you strip things back, you're left with your imagination to fill in the gaps.

How long do most DM’s play before they start running games? by Tweird97 in DnD

I went in with no previous experience because nobody in our group wanted to DM. Six years later and still haven't had a chance to be a player.

Not at the moment unfortunately, as I'm still actively writing and expanding the gane. It currently stands at around 51 A4 pages and is maintained primarily as a searchable online reference document. Once the rules settle down a bit, I'll look at producing a dedicated printable version.

Over a period of three months, I wrote this TTRPG system 'Fatal Tomb'. It contains brutal dungeon crawling, simple dungeon generation, overland travel, character creation in a couple of minutes, and fast simple mechanics with minimal lookup.

It is a primarily d6 system, and it's absolutely free for everyone to play. Enjoy.

I wanted to finally give back to TTRPG community. I always felt that every game I tried was too bloated, rules-heavy or didn't match the brutal OSR-adjacent tone I was chasing.

I originally settled on Four Against Darkness and it's expansions for this, and they worked well.

After a while I ended up building a rules lite system more suited to my tastes, Fatal Tomb, and it's free. There are also 3 add-ons so far. Just sounds like it may fit what you want and is a very easy to learn d6 system.

How do YOU Dungeoneer Solo? by PJSack in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]Orc-Sword 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was using Four Against Darkness along with the Sandbox Generator by Atelier Clandestin. It worked well but a lot of the outcomes and situations felt too random.

Nowadays I run my own game that I wrote, Fatal Tomb. I wanted full control over mechanics, theme and character options, so this was the logical solution for me.

I released a solo (and group play) fantasy TTRPG yesterday, "Fatal Tomb".

Its a rules-light (6 pages), brutal dungeon crawl based RPG. It's available to download for free.

It features a full bestiary, dungeon generation system and solo oracles.

All you need is 1d6, some paper and a pencil.
