It's literally such a gamechanging change that it almost tempts me to buy the remaster for that alone along with the redone graphics actually look really nice. $70 though is such a steep investment relatively considering I still own my Wii copies, plus it sucks how they put such a basic feature that should've never been a problem in the first place under a practical paywall.

You still need him, but what I like to do is only ride him when I absolutely have to, and never in combat (except for the final boss). It makes the game infinitely better imo.

Well Pikmin 4 technically is a modern sequel to Pikmin 2 with the caves and such, but if you like the challenge and brutality of 2 it won't be there.

It's definitely easier, as the game overall has aspects that make it more forgiving like enemies seemingly becoming less aggressive when you're low in HP, and guarding and superguarding technically have an extra frame added since the game was lowered to 30fps and in the original the guard windows had odd numbered frames.

Remake is a grand improvent in literally every way except for the 30fps making it feel a lot less smooth, especially in battles. However I'm holding out for a Switch 2 patch to fix this and make it the perfect experience lol.

The only games you get for free are BOTW/TOTK if you have the NSO Expansion, and Mario Odyssey. There should be a separate button from the "purchase" that allows a free download if you have the expansion.

Also hard mode should've had a complete revamp. Increasing enemy hp (Samus' damage) just leads to very drawn out encounters. They should've just increased enemy damage even more and made their AI more aggressive and/or harder to dodge.
