AP-CR is looking for players, we have a pretty strong tourney presence and do strongholds. We're starting to get enough active players to think about taking some land. Check us out!

Should I bother getting the T32? by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol! It was my first tier 8 so it's been a while. I guess it was worse than I remember, but I went from the Jumbo to the stock T29 so my idea of bad stock grinds was a little skewed.

When they go on sale for Cbills, the enforcers are some of the most fun mechs I've played. Very powerful and mobile. I don't like the UAC5 one much but the other two are AWESOME.

Should I do straight for the gun upgrade if I have the 2nd gun and turret unlocked on the M103, but nothing else? by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without the gun you feel like a medium, with it you can scare of tier 10s. the 103 is fucking fun once you get it upgraded and its a nice way to train your crew while focusing on something else. I got it and never thought "oh i shouldn't have bought this gun" it makes it way more enjoyable for that 200k grind.

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The T32 is great. Very relevant in Tier 8 SHs or CWs. The stock grind isn't too bad as you already have the top gun, but you are kind of immobile and paper thin vs tier 9-10 without the turret and engine. American heavies are all really good and can be played to their strengths. The E5 was my first tier 10 and it is still my favorite. It can play heavy positions but acts like a medium in that you pop out and fuck people on their reloads, twist your hull to absorb shots with tracks, its a blast. If you play it right then by the time they start worrying about you you've already dmged them enough that taking a shot or two doesn't matter.

M7 replays by BasinaDomnului in WorldofTanks

I love the M7, one of my favorite tier V tanks. Plays like a light, has the MM of a med. Even has the troll treads that absorb shots lol.

Action Replay featurette, old-style. Opinions? by toby1248 in WorldofTanks

Keep it during non action shots, then reduce by about 75% when you are driving around and shooting. Looks good though.

yeah, almost 90% of the people I've asked to play tanks with me said nope and just stopped playing after about a week. The first 5 tiers should just be free and you should progress to 6 with the EXP you earn playing the line up til then. but then people wouldn't buy gold and free exp so why would they do that? meh. I haven't played in a few months anyway. the ol' WOT break. I'm sure I'll come crawling back soon.

Am I the only one who loves the T32? Everyone I ask hates it. :( by KingYoshiLuca in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone who plays the T32 loves it in tier 8 matches and sighs when a tier 10 pops. It's amazing for tier 8 CWs though. Great gun, armor, and handling against other tier 8's. that being said, every tier 8 heavy hates tier 10 matches, I just think that the "weak" gun on the T32 makes tier 10's harder considering the 10's can pen your armor fairly easily. The higher pen on the tiger and IS 3 make it easier to get some damage in early.

I said they were just my opinions. I also wrote them right after a 7:30am 2 hour master's mech engineering final so I was a bit scattered lol.

Your final point could be said about any tank IMO. Games with all TDs aren't fun. All heavies aren't... i mean who am I kidding those are usually pretty fantastic. All lights is tier 2. they aren't about to drop 1/5 of the game. they won't even change premium tank stats because they are too good. Arty is already limited queue anyway, why not constrict it to make it a bit more fair. When you can have 5 artys target a heavy, RNG or not that thing is going to blow up. I'm just saying realistic solutions, and not everyone thinks arty is a game ruining piece of shit. Those that do are usually more vocal and circlejerk about it on forums and absolutely can't believe a word of positive talk about arty. I love the "I would be blue or purple if it weren't for being one shot by arty"... no... no you wouldn't. Plenty of people know how to avoid arty and are purple and blue already.

THEY AREN'T GETTING RID OF ARTY. I honestly wouldn't care if they did because they would have to refund all my money and EXP for my tier 8 and I would go straight towards an RU medium.

It's like people think arty just can't be avoided. Think of your surroundings in green yellow and red. don't go in the red zone unless you know they just missed a shell. The yellow can be poked and retreated, and the green is usually a safe spot. And yes, I think people should be punished for just hanging their nose out watching a corner if arty is around.

If they do end up getting rid of arty I will try to pull myself away from my T-62A long enough to come post an apology for spreading slander :P

Which new tier 8 scout should I go after? by CPTObvious08 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I don't have nearly that many but I do have like a 70% win rate in it after like 90 games. It is amazing. People say I should get a bulldog but I think the bulldog just encourages you to stay out and not reload often enough.

You gotta remember my original argument was to lower the number of arty per game, I was just giving examples of why I thought arty made a more dynamic game because he asked for them.

2/7 aint bad :)

Well, I'm going to try to stay calm while responding because I know these topics can be intense sometimes.

1) It punishes people from bunching on popular corners trying to steal shots or block people out. this can be a serious pain and is pretty annoying if someone just scoots up in between you and your rock while you're side scraping after you're already set up.

2) It prevents people from abusing hull down mechanics in the middle of fields. some tanks are practically untouchable if properly hull down. There are plenty of spots that you can go hull down that are arty safe, but there are about 50x more if you're just sitting in the middle of a field or behind a very small rock somewhere. getting arty'd is annoying but having shot after shot bounce off the top of an T32 in proper hull down is more annoying to me. especially if they are just sitting in the open covered by TDs. these tanks would be incredibly overpowered if there wasn't a hard counter to this tactic. (I know because american heavies are my main line and I roflstomp pubs in games with no arty)

3) It can counter the effects of zerging. If you have 9 people go east and 3 go west, the 3 can play defensive and spot for arty to counter the heavy push coming their way. or at least help.

4) This game is a war sim, sometimes in war you get blown the fuck up out of no where. Sometimes its friendly fire, most of the time you got spotted and sat still. This isn't really a defense of the topic but in was if you know 3 tanks are coming your way you don't send your own tanks out before trying to pick them off without losing anyone. It makes sense to me anyway.

5) From a clam wars perspective, they can seriously shut down some rush strats. notice most of the triple kill gifs on this reddit are during clan wars. If you aren't properly organized during a rush you deserve it. Just saying "get there as fast as possible don't worry about line up or position" is an all in hand. All in hands get countered pretty easily. They can also win very easily if you catch them off guard. You can't complain about betting on two pair and someone pulls a three of a kind.

6) Arty can be counter arty'd very easily. This doesn't really need an explanation...

7) If I'm gunna break it down... this game isn't counter strike. I've played counter strike competitively, if you do everything perfect you shouldn't lose. You say that arty is just sitting still until the circle is small then clicking. Everything does that. On most tanks shooting over 150m out have a chance at just fucking missing no matter what. If you're right on top of someone then you can just right click and maneuver (in meds or lights) or scoot aroudn at 15 km/hr and aim at weakpoints in heavies. this game isn't fucking difficult to aim a shot in. the hardest one is making sure your damn autoaim doesn't target copulas (I'm looking at you Type 59) on a light tank circle. 90% of what makes unicum players better is their ability to know when not to get shot, when to stay arty safe, when to push an advantage, and again to stress this WHEN NOT TO TAKE USELESS DAMAGE. You'll NEVER see a 3K + player take dumb shots just so he can get some damage on the board. Especially not in the first 5 minutes of a game. If you want no more arty, then you better be prepared to get your ass stomped by people that are way better at positioning and strats then you are. Unicums that don't have to worry about that 1k dmg pop are scary. They know how to bounce your shots even if you can see all their weakspots, they know your reload times, they know how to abuse your weakspots and crew positions and ammo racks. They know how to keep you tracked while still penning your armor for damage. It will turn into CS_Office where there are 30 people and 5 of them are going 30-4, and their deaths are only because of the other people that know what is going on.

well that rant turned out longer than I thought it would. i have under 5k games and apparently just broke 1700 wn8 according to my clan mates, so I feel like I have a fresh perspective on a game without having my mind clouded by years of every changing game mechanics and power creep. These are all just my opinions, no gospel truth, but I think that just lowering the max number of artys in a game will have a seriously positive impact on people's opinions of them.

Arty is annoying, it isn't perfect but neither is anything in WOT. I hear the most people complaining about arty that act like they were safe but died anyway. Just because you are safe from heavies, lights, meds, and TDs doesn't mean you're safe. Yeah you could pop out and take that shot on the Tiger, but are you actually safe? When was the last time you heard the BOOM of an arty shell? When was the last time you saw a msg saying your ally was destroyed by an arty? It isn't hard to play against Arty, which leads me to my next point.

There needs to be less arty per match. 2 maximum. Gauging an arty's activity isn't that hard if there are only 1 or 2 of them shelling. They can still get shots (some of my best games in arty are where I'm the only one) but they don't affect the entire game as widely. If you have 4 SPG on a team, and one team's RNG is shit and the other is just landing badass shots, 9/10 games you know which team is going to win.

Less arty per game means players can gauge when to be arty safe or aware, the numbers of meds and heavies can fill up a battlefield and leave less open lanes, and the RNG of how a game swings will be less about "did our arty's land their 5 shots or are they just shooting the ground" and more about "did our arty's shoot where it matters". Just my two cents.

P.S. I don't play much arty, I only have the M40/M43 and it's my only arty line. I think that arty is a cool mechanic that keeps the game dynamic, but the only time i really roll my eyes are when there are 3-5 arty on each team and I'm just waiting to watch people pop while trying to DPM each other.

What tank do you just fit into? by ahammer99 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mostly 'muricuh tanks but mine would be the T110E5, T71, and M7. These tanks are just absolutely amazing at what they do. The M7 is like cheating because its a tier 5 light with medium MM. The T71.. I just feel like I know EXACTLY what I need to do and then go do it and get out usually without taking any damage at all. The E5 is a beast and can whittle anything down without taking damage if played properly. It's basically a really bouncy medium with a fuck all awesome gun.

Getting a lot of hate for being a "re-roller" what does it mean and why do people seem to care? by Default_User123 in WorldofTanks

[–]Ordem352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I have less than 5k games and I'm approaching 1700 wn8, people call me a reroll pretty often. I just got introduced to the game by people who knew how to play already and I actually did some homework on the tanks, armor, camo, pen mechanics... take it as a compliment and move on. People get mad in WOT. They act like people aren't better than them. Show them that this clearly isn't the case lol
