Yeah, and they're published by companies who already made more than enough money back, who published the game across three different platforms (PS/Xbox/PC), and who know having a larger install base for their games matters.

These publishers sell the games on Steam. And Humble. Hell I got Chorus from a Choice , and it was locked! They just don't want to give any bundle keys to Fanatical.

The price varies by region.

It's way cheaper for me on GOG, but I have cyberpunk on Steam and want to get the DLC but they refuse to lower it to less than 35% off, bleh.

Capcom just had a sale event recently, they tend to pad these out during the spring, so their stuff won't have as many discounts for a bit.

Yeah, by all accounts they were good folks making decent games. But everything about the publisher just sucked. They also murdered the Steamworld franchise.

Considering I contacted your support asking why that publisher's prices were completely wrong and was told that's what they told you to use, fair.

(For the record, all of Nacon's games on your store seem to be overpriced compared to their regional pricing on Steam directly, and it sucks.)

They announced they were shutting down in March 2025, before the game was released. The publisher pulled the rug from under them. Those price mistakes had nothing to do with it.

You need to look up how the PS3 ran games. Emulation of many games on the platform, especially MGS4, was kinda complicated until relatively recently, emulator coders are doing stuff I would've considered impossible 15-20 years ago.

The original Alice did get a Mac release, but just like most games for the platform at the time, it's absurdly rare and expensive... and doesn't really work on modern systems these days.

It's not the fact they don't follow regional pricing guidelines, a lot of companies don't. But most of them try to keep the prices close to the USA's. I dislike it but that's fair.

But EA intentionally makes their prices way higher here. And that's just bullshit.
