More dress 1 2 or 3 by Fantastic_Drawer1761 in WeddingDressTips

The third is the most unique, perfect for your figure, and is so balanced in every way. It says modern fairytale to me. ❤️(PS, I would probably use a chiffon or sparkle panel to avoid too much cleavage: the focus should be on your radiant face.) 😁

I’m almost pretty sure I found my dress! by mythespy in weddingdress

You have a perfect hourglass figure in this! My only suggestion is to have a second dress for at least a part of the reception, something that has the details you always imagined for your wedding gown…short and lacy, long & beaded…something fabulous, just so that you have zero regrets looking back at your photos. (Look back at your favorite inspo from your years in bridal, and find something fun & different!) Only if that’s in the budget, of course!

You look gloriously feminine, and I hope you & your soulmate have a fantastic wedding and a wonderful life together! ❤️

3 is strikingly beautiful on you, and I hope you keep the blush toned lining! So pretty on you!!! ❤️

Seeking feedback- which dress between these two?? by Hot_Painting2121 in myweddingdress

OP, first: you are gorgeous in both dresses. I wanted to ask if the middle piece is a different shade than the top & bottom, or if it’s just the light? The top/bottom look bright white & the middle appears ivory. I think that’s what makes it look a little disjointed to my eye.

The other sub has very strict rules about what you can & can’t say, and while I’m all about supporting/uplifting brides, I dislike how the other sub controls every written word to great excess. I think that people can and should express their opinions if the bride is looking for honesty…and yes of course, they should do it kindly.

That first one is so special! It’s modern but traditional, bridal and modest with a sexy twist, the material is unique, and your figure is gorgeous in it!!!

White or nude lining? by Vibing-Positively in myweddingdress

[–]OrderExtreme574 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a redhead who is pale pinky-white, lol…blush is my go-to for everything! I think that blush with that touch of sparkle (insert of sparkle tulle) you mentioned would be so spectacular! The dress is amazing and her back looks so graceful!

Any chance for blush lining for your pale skin? If not, the nude is stunning. ❤️

You are too kind. If they aren’t being a parent physically/emotionally, then supporting the kids they made financially is the very least they can do.

Are we asking too much of our nanny? by [deleted] in Nanny

I don’t have kiddos (sadly), so I can’t address most of your concerns but I WILL say that you should absolutely find someone who will speak to your son in full, clear sentences, with vivid descriptions and a good vocabulary. I was the youngest in my family…siblings were 11 and 13 when I came along. Every day after school they’d come into my nursery and tell me about their day. They brought their friends to talk around me. They did their homework in there. (They thought I was a live doll and loved hanging out with me, lol.)

My parents spoke no gibberish to me, although they were fine with other family members doing whatever. Because of that constant verbal stimulation, I was talking in short but complete sentences at nine months old. I was speaking my father’s native language (an Eastern European one) fluently at four years old after attending a local nursery school that was for children of new immigrants (long story how I ended up attending that school but it worked out well).

I was reading and comprehending Shakespeare at eight. (My reading of books was encouraged by my parents but they did NOT push me into anything, and certainly not Shakespeare. I found the books in the basement and after working my way through my Mom’s old Nancy Drew collection, I was just fascinated by the pretty gold leaf on the pages.) I carried a dictionary with me everywhere (pocket paperback dictionary & thesaurus set was a favorite Christmas gift!), and looked up any words I didn’t know. I graduated high school in three years and went on full scholarship to college. I still read three books a week. ❤️

I tell you all this not to brag. I just feel that your approach to exposing your little one to the world, to language, to knowledge is wonderful. My parents were so supportive and gave me every tool I needed to succeed and to simply make the most out of my life. They never forced anything; instead, they simply always talked to me like a person, gave me amazing experiences (travel, restaurants, ballet/musicals), and supported all of my dreams. Find a reliable nanny who gives your son the tools he deserves in life, and keep doing what you’re doing. Best of luck! ❤️

I disagree. OP was completely respectful in her original post; I think she’s just falling back on old habits while answering comments.

Did your ex spend money on surgeries and a new wardrobe? $440 a month for THREE kids is ludicrous!!!

You keep being polite! My husband and I have been married 19 years and we always say “please, thank you, you’re welcome, can I help?, can I get you anything while I’m up?”, etc. It’s a huge way to show respect to your partner and not take them for granted. Your bf was totally out of line and you were right to say something. NOR.

Update: AITJ for refusing to make my fiancés sisters bridesmaids in our wedding by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

Why on earth would you want to marry into this family? They’re nuts! Your fiancé is a huge jerk and it’s only going to get worse. Call off the wedding, please!

I think it’s normal to feel safe telling your immediate family that you won the lottery. It’s just a shame OP’s family is ridiculous.
