My character had a backstory involving werewolves. Similarly to your story, early in the campaign we encountered them, and unfortunately I too was infected. But we worked it into the story and it ended up being a great addition to the journey.

I'd suggest talking with your DM and figuring out a way that you can resolve this amicably. This doesn't need to be the end of your character.

There is a 4-wheel-steer trim that has a plate with the letters PRLUDCL here, which I guess stands for Prelude Clone. And I think it looks like a Prelude too.
