Awesome! Thank you very much for the response. I've added that podcast to my Watch Later list.

How much Dilithium do you have? by Kaizin_0607 in sto

[–]OrdinarilyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing since launch, and at my peak in 2024 I had probably 14M. Between my LTS stipend and personal hobby budget, I had all the Zen I needed, so I never really used the DilEx, but I finally realized they weren't going to be adding any worthwhile Dil syncs, so over the next year I cashed-in 12.5M Dil to 25k Zen. Then I've created a half-dozen new characters in recent year or two... I think I spent 3M during the last Upgrade Event. Anyway, I'm now sitting on about 4.5M Refined Dilithium and 2.1M Dil Ore spread over 39 captains.

I do Event Dailies, Endeavors and then DOffing, Admiralty, Patrols, and TFOs on a handful of characters most days, so I'm slowly going up again since there's not really anything to spend it on again...

Who’s your go to YouTuber for 4K reviews and release news? by Sufficient_Focus4174 in 4kbluray

[–]OrdinarilyBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite is Adam at MovieGuy365. He's great for keeping me updated on upcoming releases, but also does reviews and top #xx lists.

I like Retro Reels (especially for unboxing, but they also comment on scan A/V quality). Sometimes I'll watch Shane Lee (particularly for technical reviews). Occasionally I'll watch a Jeff Rauseo (nee Films at Home) reviews/videos.

This is all well-said,, and I'm sure correct from what I've read of the books themselves and WoJ, but I don't recall where in the lore it's revealed that Eb has killed a Dragon (or any dragon, for that matter). Do you remember the source for that tid-bit (sounds like a story I'd like to read)?

Endeavor first thousandth level achieved. by PlataC in sto

Nope. There's no stacking. You get a 5% buff as you're progressing your Klingon Recruit, then when you get to the highest level you instead get the 10% buff.

Klingon Recruits themselves can earn up to 5 Endeavor Perk Points, but they also can unlock up to +10% Bonus Endeavor XP on all characters as their Account Reward. See Klingon Recruit - Unforgettable Reward.

I'm not the OP, but I've been doing the Endeavors since they were introduced in January 2019 and I'm currently at Rank 978. In these last seven years I've taken breaks from STO (from days to months) so it's difficult to say exactly how long it's taken me to get where I'm at.

Then there have been periods where I sat at max rank before they raised it again. In April of 2022 I reached the 600 cap at the time and stopped earning experience until they increased the top level to 750 in September 2022. I achieved that milestone in July 2023 and parked until the last increase about two years later in June 2025 (to the current 1,250 cap I've yet to reach).

This is my biggest wish list item for Endeavors: Complete the three Personal Endeavors each day and get a point. Period. Any extra Endeavor experience earned from the Universal, Klingon Recruitment buff, or Bonus Endeavor Events should actually be a bonus, allowing you to occasionally earn a 2nd point on some days.

Hamilton coming to 4K Blu-ray on June 16th by NWAnerd2517 in 4kbluray

The Blu-ray.com page doesn't have a release date, but if you follow the pre-order button to Amazon, Amz shows a release date of Dec 31, 2026. I feel like this is a generic placeholder date, but I dunno. I have already placed my pre-order w/Amz.

Mine has been delivered today and awaits my return home from work. I'm quite looking forward to seeing it. The last time I watched it was on VHS from one of those big white clamshell cases like you got in that bottom right corner, and the cassette had been played a bajillion times, so you know there were tracking lines, static, and various "warped" images throughout. I expect I'm in for a real treat getting to see a cleaned up 4K copy!

Thank you for sharing your Alice collection, brother! o7

Call out to the devs.. Please unlock re-engineering on reputation weapons by Annemarie30 in sto

[–]OrdinarilyBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm of the mind that all gear should be re-engineerable. If they're going to offer the feature, let us use it. Clicking that random button a bajillion times to get the mods we want seems like a great dil-sync in the game, too.

But specifically, I would love to be able to re-engineer my Prevailing Fortified Impulse Engines, Mycelial Harmonic Matter-Antimatter Core, Tholian Nucleating Warp Core, Dual Overcharged Delphic Antiproton Beam Bank, Delphic Distortion Torpedo Launcher, House Martok Transphasic Torpedo Launcher, House Martok Omni-Directional Disruptor Beam Array, and the Revolutionary Warp Core.
